I am having problems with PLTV. I am trying a re-install and want too replace my librtmp inside XBMC. I am on Android FTV that is rooted. I mean I have SU privileges and local USB access. I am not able too get too /data/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/lib/librtmp.so to replace to the file. I ran Towel Root again but still cannot see that folder. I am able too adb pull the librtmp.so file but not ADB push. Any ideas?

did you have a chance to take a look at the logs i sent?
i tried all the things i could think off but it seems that channels are still getting stuck populating.
whether they are playlists, genre or directory.

where can i download a few versions back when it still worked great?

Luna, it seems that if i remove the MYSQL settings and have the plugin run against a local database, all the channels populate including all the playlists and genre.
does this mean that your plugin is having trouble talking to the mysql software?
it is all running on the same machine (the xbmc + mysql) so its not a network or timeout issue.
a few versions ago it was fine but somethings changed

as of now only you are reporting problems! tromy hasn't mentioned anything...

If he sends me logs showing a problem I'll fix it, but your logs don't report problems... and I don't have the time to recreate your setup...

Lunatixz. thanks for continuing this project, and increasing the functionality of it. As is see it, this is the best way to implement a "random" type of function for displaying possible stuff to watch.

Im having an issue with using an addon (xbmb3c) to build channels. The channels build fine, but when i go to play, it starts to play each file, then stops after a few seconds and goes to the next one like the file ended. In the linked log below, there are a bunch of errors about xbmc not playing any file. If a single file actually plays, then it doesnt link up with the info screen.. for instance, for the favorite movie channel, i select 1 movie, i see the first few seconds of 3 movies in the background of the changing channel screen, then if a movie sticks and continues to play, the info for the "current" time movie in the epg is shown.. not the current movie that is playing.

il be playing with this for a little bit today, so i will post any additional info as i find it.


channels 6-9 are in question. and channel 8 doesnt load (not really the main issue).

Your issue seems to be with the plugin xbmb3c

i have fixed (at least that issue) with xbmb3c by assigning the variable before it gets called.. this fixed an unrelated issue. The issue with PTVL still remains.

im wondering if this is more to blame?

I spend a lot of my free time working on this plugin (more time then I care too). I understand users like to post about their issues, and i'm more then happy to help...
But lately I'm noticing more users forgetting this is a beta project and coming here to repeatedly post about something not working, with no real substance to the post other then to $hit on it (at least that's my perception).

Take for example the new Artwork system and service... it's listed as "Experimental" and can easily be disabled... yet over and over users posted comments about file size, and not finding local artwork and EPG lag!...
No logs, no relevant info! and no patience for me to work out the bugs...

I've decided to make a new branch in my repository, it's for development and will not offer support of any type. I hope this saves both of us the headache of dealing with bugs... those of you with the knowledge and ability to bare through some bugs can stay up to date using the development branch which does not self update. The rest of you will get updates when I feel the bugs have been worked out. Since I have almost zero time to test my code, updates to the "Official" branches (master & Hub) could be a week...could be a few months...

I'm totally new around here but I can't say I blame you. Everyone is bound to ask a few noob questions in the beginning but damn its pretty clear that some people haven't even made the slightest effort to READ THE DIRECTIONS found in post #1-3.

I can only tell you what your log tells me, and according to your log, xbmb3c is faulting and trying to skip to next video... if it has a xbmc.player class in its script it will then control xbmc player and skip shows overriding ptvls control!

show me a log with an error originated from my plugin and I can help you... otherwise read posts 1-3 which clearly states that not all plugins are equal... some will work others wont.

No issues here, just a lot of appreciation for an awesome addon! You've really made such great improvements on the original PTV. With a lot of content it really does feel like my own personal cable service.
