For anyone experiencing a regression, please work your way back through the builds until you identify the build that introduces the problem.

Yes it's tedious, but necessary as this is the most useful information when it comes to correcting the problem - knowing that a feature worked in build #x and not in build #x+1 makes identifying the precise cause a whole lot more likely.

Its also kind of why there have been daily builds this month, to help with regression identification.

@popcornmix ive seen that problem since one or two weeks ago.. not sure which version introduced it but the newclock4-versions seems to be much better.
Ive watched tv yesterday the whole afternoon and everything was fine.

Hello,

first of all thank you Milhouse and popcornmix for your great work

Now my Problem. I use a HifiBerry DAC. After i set the HifiBerry DAC as default output device the Pi is not usable -> Screen freeze and i lose my SSH connection.

The last good build was #0806 and the HifiBerry DAC works great. I tryed different builds after #0806 -> Everytime the same error and the Pi needs a hard reset.

Could it be some kernel related stuff because since Build #0807 kernel 3.16.x is in use. With #0806 we have kernel 3.15.8?!

/Edit: Which 'branch' you are using, though? Newclock3 is unable to play (stutters), but 4 crashes while starting a movie (sound in menu is off, and menu works fine)

I have tried Newclock3 and Newclock4 builds. The last working build for my setup is #0806. My Pi freeze immediately when i set my HifiBerry as output device in the audio setup so i have no chance to start a video.
