What would be the point... His error is clear in his post... He is treating the M3U like a smartplaylist...

Ah, I didn't catch that (or assumed incorrectly that he knew the difference).

EDIT (to lazyboy0172): I added the link to the community list. I'm away from my xbmc machine, so please try autotuning "Internet TV" and let me know whether or not the channel works.

thank you so much. I used the information from the community list link to add the channel via ptv manager as an internet tv channel rather than playlist. I did not know the difference between smart playlist and playlist, unfortunately. It's added now and works when tuning it perfectly. The epg is completely blank, and I would prefer to have it just say info unavailable or restate the channel name there or something, but I'm more than pleased it's working and I can switch between the playlist and other local content easily now. Thanks again
So. Curious, what would be the best method to make a twitch.tv Dota 2 channel with only certain broadcasters?

Thanks!

Re-autotune the channel, or make the changes manually... the formatting on the community list didn't include all settings. You should have EPG now.

BTW good find... I'm also interested in this Tubesync website, maybe I'll integrate it?

I edited the xml and got it working now. so terrific. I'm an hdhomerun away from hardly ever changing inputs and your work is outstanding. Thanks so much for the help here and patience with the community.

Oops, my bad...I rushed getting the link on there before going to lunch and must've forgotten the channel name/description.
Hoping someone can answer a couple questions about PlayOn integration...

I've gotten it integrated using xbmc.mylibrary instead of PseudoLibrary, which may be the problem, but I've noticed something that essentially makes it unusable. Of course, changing channels is very slow but I imagine when using streams there is no way to really get around that considering the stream has to load first. So my solution was to just use the channel guide since my use-case populates the channels with more streams than local content... this is where the problem occurred.

If I chose a channel in the guide that was using a stream, it seemed to break out of PTVL. All controls reverted back to the default controls, meaning I could no longer change channels or bring up the guide. When exiting and trying to return to PTVL it would remain in the same state (even if I specified it to always open to a local content channel) so I still couldn't change channels or bring up the guide. The only solution I came up with to fix PTVL so I could at least slowly flip through channels was to restart the htpc.

Is this a known issue? Do I need to be using PseudoLibrary instead? Will you need logs to even answer any of these questions?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Besides that, all channels seem to load and shows run fine.

Read FAQ post3

I followed the suggestions to the FAQ to no avail (disabling dynamic artwork, EPG coloring, extra EPG info, formatting). I also wanted to wire drectly to my router to see if that helped, but it did not. Any ideas?

Also, I saw the FAQ mentioned a "PsedoTV taakes forever to load" FAQ, but I couldn't find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What types of channels are you using? What device? Internet quality?
Is there any way to get certain shows to only show the earliest unwatched episode until viewed then switch to the next episode in future instances? I tried using Lazy TV but it doesnt update after an eps been watched.

I'm using a mixture of network and playlist channels. Right now, there are probably around 50 channels or so. Internet quality is FIOS with speeds of 15 Mbps. As I said before, I'm using a wired connection, so I'm getting close to those speeds.

I would try activating advanced channel settings "In Order" and "Only Play Unwatched".
I was looking @ the ustvnow xml file this morning to see if I could find why the channel listings weren't downloading. I found the channel ids had been changed. Here are the new ones working :

You can change it in your settings2 file. Notice they are configured beggining in channel 2 thru 8, That's this way because I used Trutv as channel 1 and as my prefered channel. Hope this help.
