It all depends on the exact names you use for each artist in your music tags. About 90% of all artists I have in my library get artwork scraped for them. Are any of your artists "non-conventional", per chance? That might also explain it.
I still have my complete collection in Frodo on another system, how had would it be to just to find its images and use them ie just copy them into the correct Artist folder ?
