First: This is a great media center - keep it up!
I am adding a new TV show to my TV directory on an attached USB drive.
No problem on the Windows version.
But in Android I cannot see the new sub-directory
> not in Videos - Files or in Library
> not in System - File-manager
all sub-directories before adding the new one are shown.
Updating the library has no effect.
Do I miss a setting or is this a bug?
Regards, Bernie

Is the drive connected directly to the Android box over USB? Or is this using file sharing?

It is connected to an USB port of the Android box.

If I install the version in this like reinstalling, correct?
A fresh install will read the directories ok.

What's the name of the new subdirectory? Any non-ascii characters?

There are two USB drives attached and each has a directory (added after a day or two after fisrt install and run) not showing up
Drive 1: The Honourable Woman (sub to TV directory)
Drive 2: Loriot - Vollständige Fernseh-Edition (sub to TV directory)
Each has sub-directories: Season NN

I did find the problem:
If the Kodi is shutdown using tho onscreen power of button, a restart will not show new directories added to USB drives attached. If a full shutdown is performed using the Android Apps shutdown option in system settings, KODI will show the directories added after a restart.
I did open a bug report - I hope this is the correct way.

That's for sure unrelated to Kodi, but rather a firmware issue.

The problem is on a MediaBox M82 running Android 4.4.2
As I do not have another box so I cannot test it, but my box certainly has very new firmware.
Maybe a stupid question, but why are you sure?
Well, I finally found out, that this really a software problem on the M82 - you are right!
