Google Nexus Player
Got the crash.
Looks like we have the same kind of boostConfusedhared_ptr issues as https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/4062 (but for x86)

As I said, no more crashes. If that could help anyone while waiting for a fix.

Not foolproof (I got stuck, maybe mysql) but impressive nonetheless.

It's impossible to run an ARM build on the Nexus Player.

I wouldn't say impossible, ever heard of Houdini (libhoudini)?

Smart move that by Intel, but then you need to do something when you are playing catchup to Android running on ARM CPU's.

Complex CPU intensive stuff however takes three times as long according to the article.

This is wrong. I have run ARM builds of Gotham 13.2 before on my nexus player. This was before I realized it was actually x86.

Well, I installed the latest ARM nightly last night and it installs and runs just fine. I haven't tried to watch a whole movie yet to see if I still get the crashing, but all of my preliminary tests show it is running at least as well as the x86 version was. lol.

Told you. Found that the ARM version was less snappier than its x86 counterpart but it may be because I'm still using Gotham.

It's right at the top of this page. "DOWNLOAD" --> "Development Builds: Kodi 14.0 “Helix” – RC 3" --> "Android RC: ARM"

I finally had a chance to upload a sample file which causes crashes. This is coming from the Fox stream and was recorded using Windows Media Center using an HDHomerun Prime tuner:

I cannot get through a show without it crashing out all the way back to the AndroidTV launcher. This happens many times during a 30 minute show. It happens on other channels too, not just Fox. Someone requested samples in the past, so here you go. I hope this helps identify whatever the issue may be with the crashes. I have had the issue on all x86 builds I have tried including nightlies. I have not had time to go back to an ARM build yet to see if that resolves anything.

Let me know if you need more info.

We found out that the crashing is not related to any stream/video, but a general problem on Android x86 builds

It occurs on any Android x86 platform? That's sad.
