Hi, thanks for the reply.

If you do not lose too much time for this, why not.
Anyway I am happy with this version.

Thanks

the images downloaded by the addon are not actual image files.
not sure why that happens.

all i can do is make sure the addon doesn't crash but skips the error silently.

i'm not sure what you mean....
the addon provides the images, it's up to the skin to decide how/when/where/if to display them.

Hello! Smile Thanks for creating this add-on. It looks like a million bucks. Big Grin

I use v1.0.2 on Kodi 14.1 and I ran into some issues.

1. Refreshing data (by switching cities) takes a long time. I looked in the log and default.py takes 18 seconds to finish. Only then I get to see the name of the city and (some of) the data on the left panel;
2. I added 4 locations and if I remove the 3rd location, the 4th location becomes disabled/uneditable.

The log doesn't say much: http://dpaste.com/2VAD71H

I can live with bug #2 as I can reset the locations and re-add them, but waiting for 18 seconds is quite annoying. I just assumed my RaspberryPi was slow when I first tried the plugin on it, but now that I ran it on a regular PC I got the same issue and I looked at the log for the explanation. How does it work for you guys?

By the way, my internet connection is not slow:

Hello kneekoo

Switching takes between the two cities, seven seconds on my laptop HP 255 G3.

Thanks for the info, senna99. So it seems there's something fishy here. Not that 7 seconds is OK, but it's still considerably less then what I get (quad-core 2 GHz CPU).

Hello kneekoo

That means,you have stronger hardware.
I do not know where the problem arises.

When using an online source to populate information it can only be as fast as the server and your internet connection allow. The only way to speed it up in all situations would be to cache the info... but then it won't be current anymore which IMHO kinda defeats the purpose of having the weather in the first place.
