Mark from Plex means that: Plex using a newer kernel than the OpenELEC upstream build is, and we are using just as new drivers... He means i must work on xorg.conf to fix this...

Because i am an Plex User... not Kodi... The handling with Kodi is nothing for me, some strange behavior to navigate with an Remote...

well, seeing as you're running an unofficial, Plex-created OpenELEC derivative that has nothing to do with Kodi, your best bet for support is from them, not here.

I will be honest I had no clue Plex had that option. I knew they had the Plex Home Theater software (which to me is like training wheels) but an Openelec build means they haven't completely given up the high-end to Kodi yet.

I have 2 rips of the same movie with slightly different rip settings, can anyone advise which parameter might be causing the frame skips on chromebox while wdtv plays both perfectly

Depending on some things like the resolution, "ref" is the first thing to test. The average bitrate is quite low so vbv buffering issues should not occur unless you are streaming over a slow connection.

The Intel HW decoder is L5.x capable, so it seems hard to believe that it has some settings incompatible with it if they use any sort of Level limit when encoding with x264.

I installed OpenELEC standalone, and would like to test KodiBuntu in a "Live" configuration. Is this possible? I tried booting off a USB image, but it hangs up on "Booting from USB...". I tried this with 2 USB drives.
If I decided to overwrite OpenELEC and install KodiBuntu, can I do this without reinstalling the stock firmware? The instructions on page 1 said that you can rerun the standalone setup, but how do you access the script without first booting into ChromeOS?
