[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Hey, with the last update, each time I open channel configuration I get "Updated Kodi video sources, reboot recommended Exit XBMC?" even after reboot, it keeps popping up.

And my old problem of not being able to manually add "live tv" because "channel ID" would freeze the program, is now replaced by another problem: "XMLTX ERROR: improper formatting,"

Also "donor list" is missing from my options. But my donor options are available in the settings "i.e. ""download channel logo pack" and the donor check passes in the log: 16:44:21 T:1578845248 NOTICE: script.pseudotv.live-Service: donorCHK = Donor

I may have different problems because I am on Openelec for the CuBox?

I can post a log if you want, but I always assume I can't be the only person with the problem and it may be a known issue already. If not, I am happy to post one.
I am still having major problems and 0.5.9 has not resolved them. As I've mentioned before, I am having a really slow EPG. When I hit the select button on my remote, PTVL brings up the blank EPG background and it takes 10-15 seconds to populate the programs and logos. Navigating through the channels is slow. Moving between the 6 channels showing on the guide aren't too bad but there is about .5 second lag. Trying to navigate to a channel off screen is worse and the lag can vary between 2-5 seconds usually. If I make the mistake of trying to navigate to my music videos channel (folder based), forget it. We're talking minutes. Sometimes up to 10 or so. Even exiting is problematic as it sits on removing file locks for at least 30 seconds or more. All my channels are based on local network content. No internet streaming.

Here is my log: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=65...file%2clog

I do see a bunch of "ERROR: XFILE::CFile::Rename - Error renaming file smb://WOPR/xbmc_stuff/PTV Live Shared Channels/cache/FileLock.dat" messages. Are they my problem? Would really love to get this sorted out and get back my reliable PTVL.

I've done searches, looked through tons of folders and there is nothing else for PTVL.

I've even searched for "resources" folder in the entire root, and it returns tons of other addons with resources folders, pseudotv is not at all in that list, anywhere.

The path is "/storage/.kodi/addons/script.pseudotv.live/resources/skins/Custom" if using OpenElec.
And:
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\script.pseudotv.live\resources\skins\Custom" if using Windows.

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting that. I've also noticed two more bugs.
- Playback timeout limit is stuck at 20 seconds. I have it set to 60 and that's the number in settings.xml
- For some reason the message doesn't fade away when the video starts playing. I can fix this by pausing and unpausing the video.

I'm brand new to PTVL and am having a couple issues I'd like to get ironed out before I add anymore channels to my current configuration.

I am currently only adding channels from my paid USTVnow subscriptiom and have noticed they all work fine except for SPIKE. When I try and watch the SPIKE channel it goes to a screen that says "Loading: SPIKE TV USTV' then just hangs there. This is the only channel not working correctly.

The other issue I am having is duplicate channels showing up in my channel guide. I am assuming I can fix this by editing my settings2.xml file but don't want to break something else in the process.

Here is the xml data for spike.

<setting id="Channel_13_type" value="8" />
<setting id="Channel_13_time" value="3543" />
<setting id="Channel_13_1" value="I38.28457797.microsoft.com" />
<setting id="Channel_13_2" value="plugin://plugin.video.ustvnow/?name=SPIKE TV&mode=play" />
<setting id="Channel_13_3" value="ustvnow" />
<setting id="Channel_13_rulecount" value="2" />
<setting id="Channel_13_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_13_rule_1_opt_1" value="SPIKE TV USTV" />
<setting id="Channel_13_rule_2_id" value="13" />
<setting id="Channel_13_rule_2_opt_1" value="24" />
<setting id="Channel_13_changed" value="False" />

Is it possible "I38.28457797.microsoft.com" is incorrect or needs to be something else?

I used autotune to setup ustvnow so all this data was populated for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am having a hard time getting PTVL to work! I've installed PTVL and PTV Library, confirmed they have the dependencies from the first post and when I run PTVL it gives me a "Failed" error. Funny enough if I install PTV LITE, this works no problem.

I've set PTVL on Linux 64 bit in the settings and tried with setting tv show directories and with autotune option, both instances result in a "failed" error when I try to run PTVL. I've done multiple installs / uninstalls with resets between to try to get it to work with no success. Any ideas? I'm on Openelec 5.05 Do I need to update librtmp.so if I'm using Openelec 5.05?

the community can try and help you if you could provide a kodi log file (wiki)

So i just checked ustvnow.com and spike isn't playing from the website either.

I posted my collection for those users who want to play around with different ways of creating channels. They are absolutely not needed in order to create channels, but do server as a good base for creating complex channel lineups.

SWEET!!! Thanks for the playlists. Cool
Hey, a question to somebody who really knows this stuff like Bry- maybe? I have a CuBox that I run PTVL and it runs pretty well, but the EPG can lag a bit while scrolling. What options are the ones to mess with that will improve just THAT part of PTVL? Also, I figured I could just set it to "Raspberry Pi" but I am not 100% sure what that does different. For example, are some channel types not available on the Pi setting?

I have a feature idea also. The "auto tune" is awesome, but I do not use it because I like to have my channels grouped categorically. Like news, educational, oldies, cartoon, and so on. If figure that it may be possible to add a "tag" to the community playlists when people make them? Like one of a choice of however many. (so people don't make up their own). Then PTVL can allocate channel groups for different categories? Like the first 100 to live tv, but then 101-150 could be classics, and so on? Then you could autotune, remove the ones you don't like, manually add others and still keep some type of structure to the guide.
Ok, I have a weird problem, but I doubt I am the only one with this one. I just started using a MythTV PVR backend for my live channels and it works really awesome with PTVL but now I can't use my number keys to switch channels like I used to. I use a FLIRC so my remote is sending keyboard presses for the number keys and before I added the PVR I could simply press "3-5-Enter" to go to channel 35. Now the PVR has taken over those keys so when I press them it changes channels on the built in Live TV thing in Kodi. Is there anyway of disabling the PVR from taking over or is there some way for me to make PTVL take over?
