Dolby atmos
Any reports if the latest stable version is immune to seamless branching when playing Atmos movies?

I've been working, with some forum help, to add flags for Atmos to the various displays (as noted previous) and have 75% completed this. Still working out 1 final kink and hoping to be able to share everything soon. These flags are based on using a naming convention in your file and path names not unlike Blu-ray/DVD for source.

curious what skins you use as I've been working with Aeon Nox 4.1.X though I'm sure the base code could be implemented into most other skins.

And I'm using this logo, in grayscale.

hi there is there any chance you could save this as a png as I would like to use it on a discart if that's ok as I can not import this image with PS6

thanks

Sadly, no.

in FF, right click on the image and select "save graphic" (or however it's called in your language) - it'll download it as PNG which it already is

It doesn't work in both Chrome of IE. You can download a file but it's not an actual working png.

Hi all

@nickr read very carefully what I am about to say, I wanted to know what file type it was as do you think I would ask a simple question if this file was a png file type which its not how stupid do you think I am . Instead of replying with your unsupported remarks on things you don't know anything about how's about you look into it before you assume someone is stupid.

to prove a point this file is actually a JXR file and not a png file and not a well supported file type in some programs as here is the info

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_XR

I also found out you need a plugin for photoshop to be able to edit it which is here

http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/r...vm/JPEGXR/

so you see I was not trying to be funny and asked a very sensible question but guess what I found my own answer by digging into it abit more . so I think nickr you need to learn that if you don't know what your talking about don't reply as obviously you don't have a clue.

oh and by the way clicking it and saving it and viewing it is totally different from editing it since windows supports JXR files out the bag for saving and viewing.

@da-anda , thanks mate but its a JXR file not a png but like I said above found a way to edit it as I can not add them to my discart which I now upload to fanart

cheers

@Batiatus thanks also for trying to help

I hope this helps others if they have the same problem

Hey guys,

I still cannot get Dolby Atoms to work with Kodi 14.2 on amazon fire tv. (I also tried 15.0 nightly built)
Whatever I select Direct output or not, My receiver Onkyo TX-NR 737 shows PCM 2.0 .

Atmos won't work on Android as it doesn't support HD audio, should be able to get Dolby Digital 5.1 from something with a Atmos soundtrack.

Thanks. The strange thing is I could play atoms with fire tv about half a year ago with XBMC. (Dolby Atmos Demonstration Disc 2014 1080p Blu-ray AVC TrueHD 7.1 Atmos) .The receiver shows atmos..

Shall I get a raspberry Pi 2 with digital output module to solve this issue? I don't wanna to buy a new htpc again..

You need to save the original .jpg from the original post of it and not the quoted .jxr in the replies. You can also simply just rename the extension.

The original file is NOT a JPG.

I got the wrong end of the stick, though both logos were the same and went to the first post (155) to download it. I didn't realise the later one (which C Taylor meridius was wanting) was different.

I wholeheartedly apologize to all concerned. My FU entirely.

I can't find a plugin doe CS5.5 to deal with this file. Any chance you've got a good PNG you could share?

I'm running the latest beta of Kodi, have a 6000 series radeon card and am happily bitstreaming away be it on Kodi or MPC-HC.

After reading some posts a couple of pages back I need some things clarified..

The HTPC should in fact light up Dolby Atmos on the processor if it detects it, mine just comes up as TrueHD

I have no Atmos speakers in yet but I can tell the amp I have, it doesn't know any better obviously and shouldn't be required anyway to make the light come on.

I did think it to be a hardware issue, that my card didn't support the decoding? Would that be the issue? I can do all the TrueHd, DTSMA stuff etc, no worries.

thanks in advance.

TC

Edit: Never mind! got it.. stupid surround select button - Now I just gotta wait and see if a 9 series nvidia around xmas time will handle DTS:X with 4K and x.265
