small bug ?
with the release of Kodi 15.0 Alpha 2
i decide to update my minix x7 with Kodi 15.0 Alpha 2 & CCM Helix as per install info on the first post

everything works spot on UNTIL such time as you restart Kodi for what ever reason
after a bit of mucking around deleting the guisettings.xml file to get kodi to default back to the default skin

I've found after install CCM Helix and before restarting Kodi you will need to remove the tick from "enable kodi intro movie" under script option in CCM Helix skin setting other wise Kodi will crash on startup each time

ALL Done on Minix X7 with Clean install

Hello!

This is my first message here, so first of all tons of thanks to Mudislander for the awesome job!!

Now, of course I'm writing because I have a bit of a problem since I updated to Helix 14.2. The thing is that the Video Artwork on the Video OSD while playing does no longer show the TV Show poster, but instead shows the thumbnail. In order to show the poster I have to activate the Enable DVD Case function (previously worked properly without activating this, an I right?).

Maybe it's not a bug but a change in how CCM works.

BTW, I'd love to have the Hide Home and Back buttons option again!

EDIT: The poster non showing problem only happens with TV Shows, with Movies works fine even with the Enable DVD Case function deactivated.

I started getting an error 'login failed' whenever I try to use Youtube addon while CCM skin is active.

I looked into this on the Youtube addon forum and found this post by the addon author:

"The login is working. If you don't see the code to enter (and it's not confluence) switch the skin to see the code, otherwise inform the designer of the skin to support the full potential of the API for dialogs and not only 1 line (3 supported for example)."

I updated yesterday to 15.0 alpha 2 and I couldn't get kodi to load after it would boot loop for about a minute or sometimes not stopping but I noticed it wasn't showing my wallpaper only the factory one so I disabled your skin and I'm working now

I've tried a little bit of playing around with the IncludesVariables.xml to try and get the Australian 'M' MPAA flag thingy to show up. I added a line to the file, after line 2572:

and this gave me the result of not displaying anything where the MPAA flag would normally show up in both for movies and tv shows, so this is a small step forward. Now I've just got to get it to display the correct MPAA flag, like this or similar:

Any clues on how to do this?

Hey I just moved over to Helix from Gotham and was wondering about a couple of settings. Currently my set up looks like the 1st photo on page 1 of this thread but would like it to look like the 3rd photo. The one that has a smattering of movie covers when you arrow over to the movie category on the main screen. That smattering look was also on my videos & Tv Shows section. How do I turn on this feature? Is this the cinema experience? What setting is this under skin settings? Also, is there a way to get the weather up in the upper left hand corner like it was on Gotham? Thanks.

The skin is amazing hands down but i have one issue and i can't seem to find something in settings to fix it. Before i will be on any addon and i will go on top of a movie and i will see the movie background in the back ( fanart ) but now it only shows CCM default background everywhere i go. How can i get movie backgrounds on movie i hover over.

So, if I try to install this skin from within the hybrid repo on Kodi 14.2 it says ccm helix is incompatible, and that dependencies are not met.
I downloaded and installed it manually from github, and then it allowed me to update it from within Kodi. Is that normal behaviour for this skin?

I created a new Home Menu item, named it "games" and select the program Advanced Launcher. I have Advanced Launcher launching a frontend emulator called Launchbox. My problem is when I click on the Games home menu tab it takes me to the advance launcher where I need to choose games again before it launches. Does anyone here know how to launch an application instantly from advance launcher and not go into the menu.

In my Kodi system (14.2) I see the version of the CCM Helix skin is 3.0.3, reading this forum I see higher version numbers. I have used the Kodi interface and clicked check for updates on the skin add-on - but it's still at 3.0.3.

Is there something else I need to do to get the updates?

My CCM version is 3.0.15. If you have downloaded from any other source than the one listed in the very 1st post here you may not have the current version for Helix.

You should have

Hybrid Development Repo V1.0.0 HERE
Once you install this repo you'll be able to get the proper version of CCM for Helix.

Looks to me like you may have THIS version which is not correct.
