So today my Chromebox is arriving.... Now i just read that it is possible to start Steam from Kodi. Know i would love to use Steam inhouse Gamestreaming Streaming. Anybody have expirience? Should i then rather install a kodibuntu instead of Openelec?

1) setting up Kodibuntu optimally isn't trivial - a kernel update is needed, config changes for audio, etc. None of it fully documented in one place
2) Steam in-home streaming doesn't seem to work all that well under Linux, particularly on the ChromeBox. Incorrect complaints about lack of available VRAM to start.
3) if you want Steam+Kodi, Windows is your best bet currently, from what I can tell

Ok well if it doesnt work that well then im continuing with the intiall plan and will get a nvidia Shield Konsole extra wenn it arrives later this year.

So do i have to download a openelec Kodi or does your setup do this? I want to be prepared as good as i can because i only have a couple of hours to get this done before my 3 year old comes home.

the EZ setup script provides the option to download / create the install media for both OpenELEC and Kodibuntu, but you can also do it ahead of time on another PC (and is often necessary due to the ChromeBox being picky about USB media).

use the links in the troubleshooting section of the wiki. I'd recommend downloading the image version and using Win32diskImager to write it to USB. The create_installstick method doesn't repartition the USB drive, which results in it not always being bootable.

curl: (77) error setting certificate verify locations:

and if i continue

Checking if update available...

Error downloading firmware version information; cannot proceed.

same if i try curl -L -O https://db.tt/vUPL3OrH
sudo bash vUPL3OrH

same using android or windows.

what does 'same using android or windows' mean? You're trying to run a Linux script, how do Android/Windows factor in?

As stated in the OP, you can't run the EZ Setup Script (3Tfu5W / vUPL3OrH) from OpenELEC, because it doesn't have a full bash shell - that's the whole reason for the HSZer4 script. The curl certificate error you are getting there isn't one I can reproduce here - check with the OpenELEC folks.
