[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
(2015-06-13, 19:40)Lunatixz Wrote: i didn't push the update yet... v0.6.2d

Is there anything useful we can do while we wait for you to push the new update? I'd submit more logs but really without know what was fixed that seems like harassment rather than helping.

EDIT: Originally posted this in the bug reports thread than deleted and moved it here so as to not pollute that thread with discussion and keep it focused on actual bug reports rather than discussion about them.
This may be a silly question, but does PTVL set all playlists to automatically repeat? If I use PTVL then exit and play a show from my library it will automatically repeat, meaning I have to make a quick playlist and then go into it and turn repeat off. This is then fine until I go back into PTVL, and then playlists are set to repeat again. Is this by design or is a bug log needed? Thanks.
I'm not sure if there's something I'm overlooking, but I did a fresh install of OpenELEC (x86) on some laptop I have, and then tried to install PseudoTV Live, but it doesn't seem to install or even download. PseudoTV Lite however downloads fine and can be launched.

I installed the repo zip, found PseudoTV Live in the addon list, and clicked Download.

This is the first time Ive really messed with Kodi (along with OpenELEC and addons), so sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but does anyone happen to have any ideas or could maybe explain what I might be missing?
is it just me or PSTL is missing from the repo right now?
I just did a fresh Kodi install and I can't seem to get artwork to load in the default skin / overlay. It's just the picture of the grey television. Artwork works perfectly outside of PTLV, but I'm banging my head against the wall here. Any ideas?

Things I've tried:

- Ran Artwork Downloader
- Enabled the option to automatically update info / images for shows in PTLV
- Reset artwork cache, forced channel reset, restarted xbmc, etc.

Have you tried reading the changelog and learning how PTVL works?

Yes Smile. I read the entire changelog--I see the the changes to artwork spooling but that's not the issue, I've given the channels plenty of times to load. And I've been using PTLV for a long time now, based on your response I'm missing something very basic but I've been digging. Can you point me in the right direction?

What about how artwork is disabled until channel building is complete?

I thought that meant artwork won't show until the channels build / refresh, which isn't the problem since the channels are already built when I should be seeing artwork.

Perhaps "channel building" means something else, and you've disabled artwork altogether until the new feature is complete?
Ah, one other clue. I used Autotune to add USTVNOW channels, and artwork is dynamically loaded for those shows just fine. It's just local content where artwork won't appear. Does that help?

Set art downloader plugin to use local, and save local. Then run it...

Alright so I got some progress. I guess the dependencies didn't finish downloading the first time or something; hard-reset openELEC, left the download for PTVL alone (it stopped for a good while at 99% for the dependencies) and it eventually finished.

My next problem was why PTVL failed to playback any media on the first run after auto-setting up channels. I'm assuming my DSL connection is a bit too slow for it or something so it might just be timing out; not too sure. Setting up channels manually however fixed that (I didn't care about LiveTV nor Internet stuff anyway).

So... I guess everything is fine for now Smile I just have to read-up on Milkman's guide on what to do regarding logos and bumpers, organize my media a bit better, and this will be a pretty sweet setup. Thanks to everyone involved with this!

This issue was fixed already, has to do with donor internettv autotune... fix in next update, but you will either have to remove the old settings, or re autotune after update.

Well when the update came out it seemed to take a really long time to build the channels after I autotuned and the program seemed to hang at the Initialing channels section and I was about to give it up and even posted a log but eventually it started creating the playlists for the channels.Thing sbuilt up to channel 308 and then seemed to hang. Reading the log produced this:

Okay, thanks I'll give that a try when I get home tonight. Should I move the post to the proper thread or simply be more careful where I post next time?
