How do I show a picture's name / EXIF info?

i think its whatever the "info" action is mapped to. you'll have to look at the keymap.xml file for the slideshow section. on the remote its probably info, or title.

I actually want to show automatically...for every picture show the title / filename / EXIF info for the picture for few seconds.. What is the function name for me to refer in the XML?

that's a skinning question but i don't think its possible unless you modify the source code. i dont recall any infolabels for photos.

Date taken:
listitem.picturedatetime

Resolution:
listitem.pictureresolution

Not sure about pulling EXIF title information, though.

listitem info is only available while browsing. it wont be available during a slideshow.

no not at all Smile from his description, i assumed he was looking for something like the music vis info during a slideshow. but that might meet his needs.

yup. they are all in a different cpp file. i never noticed them before. they do not seem to be listed in the wiki infolabel page.

here's all the options. for instance, the first one would be slideshow.filename. the second one would be slideshow.path.

would someone now be kind enough to update the wiki with the info?

Code:
if (info.Equals("filename")) return SLIDE_FILE_NAME;
  else if (info.Equals("path")) return SLIDE_FILE_PATH;

Hello,

In a jpg, it seems that a title and comments can be stored as other metadatas.
With the "infos" buttons we can see some of these.

It would be interesting to have the possibility to add the tiltle and comments on the picture when viewing...

do you mean that you want the ability to modify the exif tag ?

they are info labels. read this:
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Label_Control
http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=InfoLabels

as an example, a label control could contain the following:
<info>slideshow.filename</info>

Hello,

Sorry to answer late.

To kraqh3d : I mean to see some of the exit info with xbmc during a slideshow that I set before with Photoshop Elements (for example)
I begun to add these infos from my holidays pictures, just not to forget the name of places, or add a funny comment.

I know that it means some work from developpers. I do not know if it could be done just by skinning...

Anyway, thanks for your great work to all developpers.
