It looks like you were trying to open the Lightning vs Rangers game 5/29/2015, correct?

Is there a reason that you are still using XBMC 13.2? I tested it on kodi 15.1 and both streams (home and away) worked.

Yes that was the game I was trying to open. I am using OpenElec and I have "automatic updates" set to "on" - I guess there has been no "official stable" release to update from my current version yet. Do you think the issue is Kodi version and nothing else? I can play 'live" games just fine but was never able watch condensed games, archived games.

I still have 13.2 on my laptop, but archived and condensed games are working for me. I just checked and both streams for that game worked. Might be an OpenElec issue??

I upgraded to Kodi 14.2 (latest on OpenElec) and I still have the same trouble. I tried the 5/29/2015 NYR vs. Lightning game again but still just got the "working" sign and nothing happens, then tried the BlackHawks game a day earlier and got "one item more more failed to play" message. Below is my log:

Thanks for trying to help me solve this issue.

Good news is that I am able to watch condensed games/highlights/full game for the games played on 10/3/2015 now !! If this keeps working then I am less concerned about watching games from prior seasons.

I think I see what's going on here, though I'm not sure why. When I look the log you posted, part of the url for the Rangers/Lightning game looks like this:

Code:
whole_1._5000

When I access that game on my system, the same part of the url looks like this:

Code:
whole_1_5000

Again, I have no idea why that's happening, but maybe eracknaphobia or one of the other authors might.

On closer inspection there seems to be an extra period in your streams url

Code:
Here's what my Kodi played:
http://nlds150.cdnak.neulion.com/nlds_vod/nhl/vod/2015/05/29/317/3_317_tbl_nyr_1415_h_whole_1_5000_ipad.mp4.m3u8

Here's what yours tried to play
http://nlds150.cdnllnwnl.neulion.com/nlds_vod/nhl/vod/2015/05/29/317/3_317_tbl_nyr_1415_h_whole_1._5000_ipad.mp4.m3u8

The "." right after whole_1 isn't supposed to be there. I'll take a look at the code and see if I can track down where and why this is happening.

I think I found it. If you want to test it save this games_archive.py file over your existing one
http://www.megafileupload.com/hQgA/games_archive.py

Save it to /storage/.kodi/addons/plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter/resources/lib/ in openelec

Thanks. Just to confirm, I don't see that exact path (can't even find a "storage folder". The way I am seeing things is:

\\OPENELEC\Userdata\addon_data\plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter

In this folder, there is an file called "archive". should I delete this one and replace it with yours or simply try to copy over the other one and see what happens? Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry to post here but in preparation for the new hockey season, I was checking my setup and so far it doesn't work.

In the past, I used to use my NHL.com account to subscribe and it always worked. Circumstances have changed and this year, I subscribed with my Rogers account.

I can log in the PS4 app, the Android app and the GCL site itself and they all work. Only this add-on doesn't. I deleted the addon multiple times and deleted the 'kodi\userdata\addon_data\plugin.video.nhl-gamecenter' folder to make sure there were no old settings.

In the config, I tried with and without 'Rogers log-in' to no avail. I only get 'Check your login credentials'. Nothing useful at all in kodi.log except maybe

Any and all your help is appreciated!

Thanks!!!!

Thanks. I thought the URL in the log posted by Flyersfan looked ok, but when I tried to play it on my system it wouldn't work, so I just pasted the URL from my system below it in gedit and the extra '.' was the only difference.

Sometimes the best tool for the job is a second pair of eyes. Wink

I used to run OpenElec on my Raspberry Pi, and if I remember correctly, the storage folder is actually at the same level as the OpenElec folder, so you'll need to go up one level from there to find it. It's been a while tho' and I could be wrong here. If you do find it, the .kodi directory will be hidden, so if you're using the File Manager from within OpenElec, you'll need to go to System -> Settings -> Appearance -> File lists -> Show hidden files and directories. If you're using SSH to access the folders, I think you'll want to use the 'ls -a' command to show hidden files and directories.

Is your GCL account up to date? I continually got that error message until my account auto-renewed on the 1st.

sorry for my ignorance. I was able to uncover the 'hidden files and folders" and copied the file over (which overrode the existing one). But I still can't seem to get this to work. New log below:

Still seeing an extra '.' in the game URL. Did you restart after copying the file? Might be worth a try if you haven't.
