OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 17.0)
(2016-01-07, 16:58)zaphod24 Wrote: Yes, I experience that as well except I'm using MythTV as the pvr backend. I'm pretty sure it's been that way for at least all of the 17/Krypton builds and perhaps back into the 16/Jarvis builds as well.

I also had some trouble with frozen Live-TV channels on VDR since #1209 or #1210 build up to latest but not sure 100% when it started.
The problem is hard to reproduce and debug because it happen after a while of watching Live-TV. When it happen the the video stream get stuttering or sometimes frozen. It can be fixed with simply change the channel an comes back.
OMXPlayer seams to runs more stable than MMAL or don't have this problem. Later 16/Jarvis builds don't have this problem.

I set the following cache settings. With higher values up to 20 there is the same problem

<advancedsettings>
<pvr>
<minvideocachelevel>11</minvideocachelevel>
<minaudiocachelevel>11</minaudiocachelevel>
</pvr>
</advancedsettings>

I did not uninstall and reinstall however.

You should be seeing 7.0.1 as the version against iperf (this is the iperf addon version, not the iperf binary itself which is 3.1).

Can you enable debug logging, click on "Check for updates" (in the blade menu) and post your debug log if you still don't see any change - could be a mirror/cdn issue.

It updated to 7.0.1 over night, thanks.

With a little overclocking it works pretty decent already, but with one set of files coded in x265, i just get a pinkish scrambled image. Will post a picture if I'm at home later today.
Most of the material works fine, though.

Not something I'm aware of, but providing a sample file that demonstrates this will improve the chances of it being fixed.

Is there a tool with which I could cut a short snippet out of the file? It's quite big. I doubt that VirtualDub is capable of this, but something like Vdub?

Or maybe this is already enough...

Media Info of said non-working file: http://pastebin.com/Asqf5q4a

I just installed the newest build, now the second file results in a black screen followed by a reboot after about 30 seconds.
To cut mkv I'd use mmg from mkvtoolnix

How do you make a sample of live TV?

Can you record from the PVR backend?

I suspect PVR recording don't contain the Live-TV problems.

I can record. Yes but i agree that it probably wont show the problems. I have 2 mediaportal clients connecting to the same Tv-server with absolutely no problems.

Ah - someone else reporting music library playback is not working:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8724#i...-169471054

I concur. Music files play when accessed through FILES but not when accessed through ALBUMS.
@popcornmix and @Milhouse, that was quick just tested in build #0107 and playback working via music library options Cool
RPi4, (LibreELEC 12.0) hdmi0 -> Sony TA-AN1000 AV Receiver -> Philips 55PUS7304 4K TV
@popcornmix
The Live-TV audio issue is fixed. I did extra reboot to verify and zap through a lot of channels. It works now same as in #0101.
Thanks a lot for reverting commits for testing. Let me know when I can help supporting with debugging for further testing.
I start now with long time experience and test if there still some video stutter with MMAL.

Almost fixed. You can navigate to ALBUMS and successfully play a track. However, while the track is playing, if you navigate to ARTISTS and try to navigate to an artist you get "couldn't connect to network server". I am not streaming music from a network server. The library is on a USB stick. I tried navigating to FILES and I got the same error. this behavior is new to this build.

Trying to run OpenELEC Configuration 0.6.8 locks screen on build #0107, never gets to OpenELEC Config menus. Can move pointer OK but can't select anything. Can SSH OK (eg to reboot)

On build #107 It did the same thing to me too, once. I could not reproduce it.
