Yes these builds require a larger system partition. I will create an image soon that accommodates this.

Hi thanks for the builds, I tried this (generic x64) twice already, it says
checking size... FAILED

and it won't update Sad

Any chance you can check it?
Thanks

They work for me. Try extracting them first and then copy over the files in the target folder

The builds are fine, they require a larger system partition because of the large size with all the emulators included.

I may setup a temporary emulator addon repo to help reduce the size or I can also post an img file with a larger partition size (which is now default in OE)

Can you post an img file?

This is the ultimate goal, being able to download binary add-ons. Does OE currently support this?

Back in the day (gosh this project is old) all emulators were hosted in an online repo. I created support for "Just-in-time" emulator installation, where you could actually launch a game without an emulator installed. Kodi would present the list of compatible emulators, automatically install the selected one, and then use it to launch the game. Since packaging the add-ons locally this may have broke, but it was a cool zero-configuration feature.

Yes, as we currently provide the pvr, audio decoder and encoders, etc binary add-ons

I'll have to test this out.

How does it know which emulators to install if the emulators provide the information about which extensions they support?

The addons.xml for the repo used to look like this: https://github.com/garbear/repository.li...addons.xml

The list of extensions, and VFS support, were listed, so Kodi knew the capabilities of remote add-ons. It would filter by extension and VFS support to get a list of supported emulators.

If you drop the emus, you should also drop the controller add-ons, as they're listed as dependencies so they should be installed automatically when their emu is

Hmm, a partition to me is - blandly put - allocated space on the HDD. So my system partition when I set it up on OE was 250gb. Is that too little you're saying?
Or have I got it completely wrong Big Grin ?

An img file with a larger partition size for RPi2 would be appreciated!

lrusak: Would it be possible to have builds for Nvidia_Legacy (ie. for ION)?

Thanks!

How did you compile these?
Can I checkout your repo: https://github.com/lrusak/OpenELEC.tv/tr...enelec-6.0 Branch: retroplayer-openelec-6.0
and compile a build for WetekPlay by myself like a regular build of OE or do I have to do something else?

Think you need to add RETROPLAYER_SUPPORT= “yes” to the make command
