Hello!
I have OPENELEC directly installed on sd. My version is 6.0.1 that includes Kodi Insegard. I have installed The Insegard version of madnox and i have fully configured. It works like a charm but now Openlec just will be updated with Kodi Jarvis in a few days, i think.
How can i upgrade my Madnox without losing configuration? I think that only decompress the new version (for Jarvis) and replace the old "skin.aeon.madnox.master" folder with the new one. But i have to do above old files or delete them before replace the old folder?

I updated OpenElec to 7.0 RC3 (Kodi 16 RC3) a couple days ago, deleted "skin.aeon.madnox.master" folder, updated the latest add-ons etc, copied the latest git Madnox skin folder and all seemed to work ok. Most my Madnox config seemed to be ok but I haven't customised it much. Actually, I was surprised the config was copied. Is that a feature of Jarvis Madnox?

All "live" the first one is a bit modded and not on github yet, but I posted the "wip" files. (But forgot the png's)

It seems the extrafanart problem is another linux gremlin - have the same statics on my pi2
I bet some "Extrafanart" code instead of "extrafanart"

Sorry to blow your bubble... It could work when you just copy the new madnox over the old one... BUT
1. jarvis store skin settings in addon_data folder and no longer in guisettings
2. our new update will change the whole mainmenu and widget system
3. To avoid strange problems i can just give everybody one important advise... Start complete! From stock when we rls rc-1... Will save you in the end some time and stress
( i mean kodi jarvis final, all actual needed addons and madnox)
But everybody can do what they want

Its a static fanart for the show thats selected, not a fallback one.

Updated to Jarvis final. Except for that everything works great as far as I can tell.

If it works under Windows but not under *nix, I bet its cause of capitalization

I finally decided to update to Jarvis and I couldn't help myself but to try the dev branch.

WOW awesome job so far!! first that's one hell of a great intro video, not too long, just long enough to allow Kodi to load, very cool.

New mixed widgets are awesome. In fact all the widgets so far are fantastic. Damn great work!

Great work on the new graphics

Took me a bit to figure out how to setup widgets, will take some getting used to but I like it.

I'm still in the process of setting everything up so I still have allot to check out, but so far I'm blown away with what you guys have done so far, seriously guys, great work!!

i haven't been able to get weather to work, do you guys recommend open weather maps or something else? Is getting a api now mandatory for weather? If so which one should we get? As you can see there are allot: http://openweathermap.org/api

EDIT: Also, are you guys still working on the Oscars menu? Top 250 seems to work fine, but Best Picture just shows all movies in the library? Is there a specific view type we should be using?

and the oscars item is basicly a PLAYLIST with a lot of movie titles in it, and i think its not updated since quite some time...
i have a special german one ( who needs an update too soon hehe ) with much more movies ( all movies who gets an oscar - not only best movie )

so maybe when i find some time i will update this playlist... but not realy soon

Hi Mike, I tried that and it ends up showing every movie in the library. It does work when best1 is selected though. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'll look into it more though

On the weather, i can't seem to get it to show the temp anywhere. I've got the location correctly entered and even grabbed a API, but still nothing (Open Weather Map). Is this part still being worked on?
