Great work anyway! Smile

When I once coded the netflix home, I looked at the Android netflix app as a base.
That had a spotlight on top with recommendations and rows of posters with other content.

Has this changed in the meanwhile ? It's been a while since I last watched netflix using their native apps now that I have Flix2Kodi setup

This is how it looks at present (although I don't think I get the big logo in the top right, that might be a regional thing).

Spotlight is just another row, albeit with a single item in it. It's the first row and is the focus when the app opens, but it looks and behaves just like all the rest of the rows.

edit: I'm going to have a look at Flix2Kodi Smile

That looks good. I can create it just like that in the skin without too much of work.

Just to be clear: In the top is the spotlight. That has a doubled function ? So it acts as a standalone widget if it has the focus AND it shows the details about a selection you make in the widget rows below ?

Or is in only a details pane for the widget rows ?

I don't have an android box at handy atm so I can not check it for myself.

EDIT: I was just looking at the Netflix webinterface and that also has something interesting... It has a large spotlight on top and if you focus an item in the widget rows it will enlarge and display the details in a box. I'm pretty sure I can also simulate that

It's just a details pane for widget rows. Spotlight is now just a regular row placed in position 1 (ie the top row). As soon as you navigate down to another row the details and fanart change to the focused item in the row you're now on.

Hmm, that won't be possible to create... What I can do is make it either a seperate row OR a details pane for the selected item in the widget rows. So, option 1 is pretty much the same as the current netflix layout but with a little restyle. When you scroll down the spotlight will also scroll away. Option 2 is to keep the spotlight/details pane at the top and present the info for the selected widget.

I've added some NL ratings now, available in next update

Thanks!

edit: sorry I wrote in the wrong thread... it's related to jarvis beta .34

Should be fixed in next beta but I can't test it as I don't have a windows tablet at hand atm

beta .35 solved it thanks

I can make it scroll if you want ?

scroll would be better than nothing but i would prefer to change its position to fill up the whole space, otherwise one would always have a scrolling text because the space is just to narrow.
but it's your descicion of course..

For now I will do the quick fix by adding a scroll.
I will look at relocating it later as I have to move some stuff around to fix that.
Please remind me in a couple of days ;-)

In the simple confluence home layout could there be an option to hide the sub-menus?

I would have thought that it could be achieved by "disappearing" Spotlight when it isn't in focus. So, the top widget is spotlight. When in focus it is visible, showing info and fan art of the spotlight item. When the user navigates away from Spotlight to another widget row, the Spotlight widget becomes invisible and in its place is a details panel showing fan art and info for the widget row item. When the user navigate upwards from row 2, spotlight becomes visible again and is in focus.

I could be wrong, of course. But either way it's not a deal breaker. I'm using Titan on my PC with just widget rows. My Fire Tv doesn't cope with it so well.

I really wish logos were bigger while browsing my library, perhaps there could be an option to enlarge them?

I'd also like the option to show fanart rather then 16x9/landscape art in the info panel.

With Modern Big Vertical home screen layout (3.6.38) - it would be nice if we were given the option to have the menu items centered vertically. I only use 3 menu items so having them aligned vertically would visually look nicer with my setup. Or, what about providing a slider that would allow the user to set a percentage of the vertical alignment?
