Hello and thanx for this cool update.
But I have some issues.
I can't find any possibility to change the background from any main menu position like movies, series, music and so on, to a picture from my harddrive. I make some main menu entrys by myself like youtube, trailer and such stuff. Until this update to rc1 I usualy take one of my own backgrounds but in this new customize section there is as well the ability to change the background to single picture but then there is only the possibility to choose between 2 of my installed repositorys but I can't reach my pc folder structure and my hdds from there, as I am used to.
OK there are a lot of background variations in the list but I wan't some of my own. Also I can't switch back to any of the standard backgrounds from madnox when I once choosed one of the long list.

Can somebody help?

And then the Poster fanart is missing in the Episode View from TV Series. There is only a Place Holder box in left side wich contains the words "no fanart", also there is no clear art in the upper left corner only the episodes name and each episode displays its name in an own font when I scroll through the episodes.
The Season view is correct I use right list view.

In terms of the Episode View for TV Series, I cannot reproduce this, I tried using Episode View at the TV Show, Season and Episode levels and in all cases the poster is shown and the logo is shown above the poster. I am running Jarvis final under Windows 10.

Is it like this for all TV shows? If you quit Kodi and start again, do the posters show?

So, I wanted to try Openelec's version 7 build, so I could bump up to Jarvis.

The Isengard skin still loaded, but was completely fubar.

I downloaded the most recent zip from git (Jarvis version), but the skin doesn't get recognized, and I can't select it. When I try to add the skin from zip I get the notification that xbmc.gui version 10 could not be satisfied. Checking the confluence skin, I noticed that this one has version 11. However, changing the line in the madnox xml file didn't solve the issue, the skin just won't install, or is visible for that matter.

I know you put the info in the first few posts but I am unable to find out how to configure smart playlists in the new version. We use it for recently added shows in a certain playlist etc

Go into Skin Settings, Customizers, Set up the Aeon MadNox Main Menu, and add your playlist as a menu item, or, if that is what you are looking for, as a widget for one of your menu items. Are you sure that version of OE is Jarvis? I thought it was Krypton, and if it is, MadNox is not yet compatible with Krypton.

No, at least not from PR's I've made.

@Bob : what cast issue are you talking about ? Actually there's two :

-First actor not cached correctly
-Cast of another movie showing

The first doesn't sound like a skin problem - the list of actors is provided by script.skin.helper.service and any caching is down to that script. The second one now has a workaround - a loading indicator will show over each cast member if the list is in the process of re-freshing - so at least you can see when the previous media items cast is still showing, and when the current cast has loaded.

Thanks. All the widgets are displaying correctly for me (aside from the known cast issues). Will see if they keep doing so over the next couple of hours and, as I said before, if you have any steps that reproduce the issues let me know.

The steps are just navigating from one movie to another and keep pressing i on each movie until one mess comes out (which is pretty often for me), nothing more.

And for other issues (cd, poster, titles missing) I thaught it was textures issues that are currently handle by the team, isn't it ?

I have partially added the new widgets to silvo. I am having issues for some reason in the widget info dialog, diapering artwork, plot ect. The issue sounds similar to what I am experiencing.

This leads me to think all the setproperty's I am using to call the info might not be such a good idea. So I will look at re-coding the widget info dialog to a home window control. Really we just need to get rid of all those setpropertys and all should then be working.

I have some trouble with backgrounds with the latest version of Madnox (Win10, Jarvis latest) Latest skin.helper installed too

I can't seem to get random backgrounds for playlist. It's always the same order.

@dvbtjunkie, are you on Openelec by any chance?

@pustekuchen, I would suggest looing into your keymap.xml or keyboard.xml and mapping something specific for your remote to activate the I key? can you supply a screenshot please for you landscape issue.

@Lockos, most of your issues I can't look at in full until the weekend. I will look into them then and see what can be done. What tvshow is number 2 supposed to be?

about the remote issue:
there is know chance to specific the remote. The only way is to buy some hardware like an USB ir receiver.

Everybody with an android device (like NVIDIA shield e.g.) will have the same issue.

You guys will make many people happy if there is a solution without buying new hardware for one remote button

The landscape "issue" (it's not really an issue, it's more a lost service)


as you can see there is no title in this picture because this is a fanart and no landscape


here you can see that the landscape place is empty. In this case the old version had put the logo on the fanart and build a landscape by its own

I know Mike already let you know that the team will look into building a fake landscape when no landscape image is available for a movie, so you can have what you had before in the widgets. In the meantime, if you select "Panel" as the option for the "Panel Label" when configuring your movie widget, you will get the title of the movies shown in the widgets. My config looks like this:

Ok, yes.... it is a bit scary I didn't change anything and now after I restart my Kodi the poster shows up in the "right List view" in episode level. But the clearart is still not there but in "Episode view" in the episode all is fine now poster and clear art shows up. I think thats the way. Season Level in right list view and then Episode level in episode view.

One Issue I have ever since I used Kodi with any Aeon Build and Version. Sometimes, when I am heavenly clicking through kodi and customize here and there, it happend that pop up windows suddenly appear fully transparent and the surrounding box is gone. Usually I had to shut kodi down and run it again and all was fine again. In Madnox there is the "reload" function this fixes the transparent window Issue without shutting down kodi. But can anyone explain what there happened and what I can do that nothing turned transparent while using kodi?

What happened: Kodi stops returning a variable, the lack of which means that the image - rather than getting the color specified by the variable - gets made transparent.
What I can do: Unless and until someone works out why Kodi stops returning the variable, reload the skin or restart Kodi.

i try to rename the files to all uncapitalised - also the links inside the codes - i also rename the images and change the name ( to be sure, nothing old links where somewhere )- i save the images as new png format - i also uncapitalised the "OverlayVisibility" names... dont know why its working on window machines and not on linux...

i go and kill those pinguins now and then i need a break ( while i wait for the police ) ...

for unwatched go to media/thumbs and rename OverlayUnWatched.png to OverlayUnwatched.png
for resume rename Overlayprogress.png to overlayprogress.png in the media root

Am I missing something in order to understand whether it is due at the question of missing tags or other ...
I created 2 Playlist, 3D Movies and 4K Movies , as you can see from the picture,



Playlist 4K movies, shows superposition 4K logo for Widget , you can not said for (Background Live "Video Playlist")
as you can see have overlap Bluray logo blue , instead of overlap Bluray 4K logo and its color.
at my opinion, as unbalanced presentation seen so , is ugly to see.

Same for Playlist 3D Movies . Here indeed is viewed with overlap bluray logo Standard , for Widget and (Background Live "Video Playlist") In place of 3D



My average 3D / 4K are tagged as an example:
Avatar (2009).bluray.3D.mkv
Avatar (2009).bluray.4K.mkv



I ask if you can get a solution.
