Overclock sd-card
#1
Thumbs Down
Hi there! I'm sure this is a silly question, bu here it goes: I'm running openelec on Pi-B with a usb stick as storage. Is it worth to try dtoverlay=sdhost,overclock_50=100 in order to make it faster? Does this makes any sense?

Thanks!

I was thinking of using usb stick for kodi. Still got to boot from SD card but thinking of longevity rather than speed.
RPi on SD card as reliable as win xp on an old pc. SD cards are not brill working normal Sad

I think no.... if you use sd card only for boot?
If i want more speed get a good Samsung sd card or run it of a ssd HDD

I have a rpi 3. Very nice it is.Sent for the codecs last night and installed them today on "my osmc-RPi config".
So easy.
I think it is moderately over clocked by osmc.
You can store the boot on sd card, you have to,then the rest of the system on usb drive, which is faster.
Look it up. There's a guide somewhere I came across. I should have bookmarked it.
