WIP Windows 3D MVC Bluray test builds

odd things happen, looks like performance isn't enough. That's strange for your hw. try pause playback for a couple seconds and then resume.

Nothing wrong in the log, it work perfectly, perhaps some driver enchantments cause issue.

You started Kodi in true fullscreen
Quote:DEBUG: CWinSystemWin32::SetFullScreenEx (true fullscreen) on screen 0 with size 1920x1080, refresh 60.000000

Thanks very much for the reply (and for all of your hard work).

What indicates that performance isn't enough? Is there something in the log? The CPU usage is only around 20% if I remember correctly.

Also, just so I understand ... the preferred approach is to use true fullscreen, right? (and NOT a fullscreen window)

It only looks like a performance issue, it's not a real performance issue I'm sure.

There are a lot of records in your log
Quote:21:40:15 T:3556 DEBUG: CRenderSystemDX:TongueresentRenderImpl: >>> glitch detected with 1 vsync
21:40:19 T:3556 DEBUG: Previous line repeats 40 times.
40 glitches for about 4 sec. It means that about 10 times per second present occurs too late i.e. not every vsync. in this case new experemental feature (introduced in latest build) is trying to present frames as fast as possible that may be visible like a skips. i.e. in your case you may see only 14 frames instead of 24. This not happens in fullscreen windowed mode but happens in true fullscreen that's odd. or this happens only for stereo 3D mode, currently I have no 3D display to check this.

Yes, true fullscreen is more preferable mode.
Is there anything I can try to fix the problem or that I can provide more information about?
try pause/resume.
Are there any updates on potential Linux integration?
Using April 7 build with Nvidia software decoding.

Problem 1:
Use Fullscreen is disabled.

Start KODI and screen is black.
Press \ on keyboard. KODI goes into Windowed mode. Now can see small KODI window.
Press \ again. Now can see full size KODI. I guess log will show KODI is Fullscreen. Use Fullscreen setting is still disabled.
I know you reply setting is enabled because log tells you so. It is not enabled. Log must say it is enabled because of pressing \?

Also, after stopping 3D iso playback, (3D MVC mode is switching off) KODI screen goes black again. Same problem.
Pressing \ twice again returns to normal.
This does not happen when Enable Fullscreeen is used. Only Disabled is a problem.

Problem 2:
3D iso only.

Video playback is jerky and slow motion looking. Audio no problems.
This did not happen using April 1st build.

Lastly, and I don't mean to push anything, there is a conflicting problem presented using these builds.
I'm hoping you might have a solution.
When system wide global stereoscopic gets disabled, those of us using an external player (so we have full menu access for 3D iso's) rely on that setting to stay enabled or the external player, such as PDVD, will not render 3D. Of course these builds are dependent on stereoscopic being disabled on KODI start. This is where the conflict is. Would it be possible to add a 'System Wide Global Stereoscopic' setting 'Enable/Disable' that could be switched within KODI GUI to accommodate? Again, don't mean to fill your plate with more than you already take on and only for consideration. This may become a moot question if and when KODI can actually handle BD menus eliminating the need for any external player. If not, it's ok. I can add stereoscopic toggle into KODI GUI using scripts and advanced launcher plug-in like before.

Thanks for your continued dedication.

If I disable fullscreen window (Settings - System - Use fullscreen window), then I get flickering and the video playback appears to be slow (i.e. the framerate seems off) but the CPU usage shows under 20%

If I enable fullscreen window then the flickering is gone and the framerate looks perfect. However, during motion the 3D appears blurry or something (i.e. something looks really off), but during no motion or low motion the 3D looks absolutely perfect. However, due the motion problem the playback is very difficult to watch.

I did have a previous version installed (March 25th or something) but I didn't use it. I just installed the April 7th build and actually tested it for the first time.

Here is my system specs:

Thanks for any help!

I have the same issue with my Nuc6i3syh.

I have the same issue with my Nuc6i3syh.
Had blurriness with my Nuc6i3syh too, I think there's a problem with video card in that NUC, changing the video enhancement in video helped a little bit,but it wasn't great.

I have a nuc6i3syk and with the version from 3 april everything works fine without any problems/burriness!
For those of you with and w/o blurriness issues, please post your Intel graphics driver version.
