Fritsch, have yu had any luck installing plymouth with your setup procedure in the first post? Everytime I enable a splash (including ones from the ubuntu repos) I get a error alog the lines of 'a file named ".so" cannot be found, skipping theme'. Thought Id check here before filing a bug report, because you usually include a section for plymouth in your guides. Cheers

Hi , I have the following problem and hope somebody can help me whit it.
I have managed to install Ubuntu 16.04 server on my Beelink BT3 (Intel Atom x5-Z8300) , in first it won’t boot from USB but I found out that this machine has a 32 uefi, so I copied bootia32.efi EFI/BOOT/ folder on the boot medium.
No its letting me install ubunut , when the install finished and the machine is rebooted it hangs at initial ramdisk. When I power down the machine and unplug the hdmi cabel and the power on the machine , wait for 10 second and plugin the hdmi cable is see after a while the KODI startup screen.

No. You need to rebuild from source, including userspace (mesa / vaapi / and so on). A kodi v17 nightly is enough.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Depending on what kernel debian ships, it's a kernel issue, which can be solved easily.
Which debian did you install? Can you provide the logfiles from post 1? (those will cover most installed components).

I am currently using an Acer Revo M1601 Celeron N3050, running LibreELEC very well. I just wondered if Krypton v17 based on Ubuntu 16.04 server build offers any performance improvements over LibreELEC with this hardware. Thanks in advance for any advice
