IARL - Deprecated
Progress. Smile I probably won't be able to play them though if they're chd. I'll have to wait and see. I thought they were 7z, and that should be working. Next day off I have I'll see about testing this.

New version of IARL is available in the repo (1.5.4). Changes include:
- Added MAME 2003 (0.078 archive), Best of MAME 2003 ,Removed MAME 2010. This change was specifically for users on RPi's. This archive is the 'most compatible' one available for the versions of MAME available for RPi. In testing, most games work (but not all, it's an issue with the MAME core rather than the addon though)
- Added login capability (courtesy of primaeval). Some archives on archive.org require a user to login to view and download. Note that Kodi stores login and password setting information as plain text though (per the Kodi wiki note: Security consideration: when using option="hidden", the value entered by the user is still saved as an unencrypted string value on disk), so be aware of that for security purposes.
- Update to wizard. Still in work some.

If anyone is interested in helping me with this addon, I'm looking for help with the following:
Compatiblity list: I try to test as many as possible, but now there are just too many! I've created a list here, which I'll use to update my wiki. If you test your system or have 'ideal' settings for a particular system please enter it in this list.

7zip testing on Android: Some users report that 7z archives dont work on android. Someone with an android box and adb and/or command line access on their system PM me if you're able to help with this.

Game window update: I'll admit that I'm not an artist. I'd like to update the Game Window skin so it's prettier. Any skinning experts willing to help out?

I was lurking on the git and saw the latest commit, Thanks for the update sure I'm RPI users and ps1 fans will be happy.

I'll also update my compatibility list I mainly use libreelec/openelec and windows. But can add RPi the the list if anyone wants it.

This is awesome news! Sorry I never got around to testing. My day off turned out too busy to do anything, but I'm off tomorrow, and I'll report my findings if I find the time.

Experimented a bit before bed.. Raspberry Pi 3, LibreELEC, GameStarter

Best of PlayStation list works, although the graphic icon for the list isn't working (shows a generic icon rather than the one in the /media folder).

Sega 32X list still doesnt work.

Sega CD list points to a chd list which still doesnt work on RPi.

Didn't test the rebuilt MAME list.

Still need to fully test some random PS1 games (not on the best of list). Also, is there anyway to have it show a progress during 7z extraction like it does when downloading a ROM? That would be helpful, especially for those larger CD games. Smile

Rename bestof_ps1.jpg --> bestof_PS1.jpg

I'm glad that was a simple fix. Worked too! Thanks! Smile

Zack, I seemed to have lost the ext launcher commands in the new update. Possibly a typo in the xml, I reverted to an older xml and it returned. I'll see if I can find the bug in the xml.

Widows looks uneffected so possibly in the libreelec category.

Doh! I found a bug. The updated xmls aren't replacing the old ones when you select 'Yes, Replace!' when the addon is updated. All those changes to the game lists haven't been pushed out to existing users Confused I'll push an update to fix that in a bit.

Whoops at least you spotted it Smile

Thought I'd share some pics of my set up using Escalade's Libreelec 8 extended build Using
Estuary MOD by Guilouz. With a mix of Internet archive rom launcher and super favourite addons as widgets.

Very nice!

Your first pic is not how retroplay will likely look when 'final' though. The emu's will not be as prominent, since in retroplayer they are just cores that run then ROMs.

Nevertheless, nice work Smile
