As far as I know Kodi does not use and code wise does not support multi click actions. So, I'd say, long way to go, including fundamental Kodi core code changes.

Yes, you are right. But everything starts with an idea. [WINKING FACE]
Would be happy to see this some day. Sadly I am not a dev. I can only give you my ideas. [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]
1. harmony smart control supports longpress
2. this why I used the tags for the <remote> section

Ok, at the moment I don't know how to flag and remove commercials with vdr and vnsi (interface between vdr and kodi), but that would be a really great feature. TOP!

Don't know if it has been discussed, but it is kind of hard to jump to the point of LiveTV if you have paused for a few minutes.
If you have paused for a few minutes and then there is some commercial or something you want to skip over. If you try to skip beyond the LiveTV point you just stay where you were. So to be able to get to the end of the buffer and see live again you have to do mini jumps when you get close to the end of the buffer.
If I have paused for 2 minutes, I would like to be able to skip 3 minutes and be sure that I'm watching live again. Don't want to skip 1 minute, and then a lot of 15s skips to get close to the end. It would be impossible to define skip steps that always would be perfect for this.
So my feature request is, being able to skip beyond the end of the buffer and Kodi understands that it should take me to the end. Not see it as a failure to skip and stay where I am.

I'll just continue with some input on things I hope could get fixed with LiveTV. Hope someone with the right knowledge to make changes reads this =)
It would be nice if the "Ends at" time in the OSD info screen would adjust for a paused LiveTV show. Now it seems to take the end time from the EPG. So when you have paused for a while the "Ends at" says that the TV show ends at f.ex. 19:00, but the current time shows 19:05 and you still have a few minutes left before the end.
And this is a little follow up of my previous post.
It is also not possible to skip forward to the next show, if you have paused LiveTV. F.ex. you would like to skip over the commercial between two shows. You can skip close to the end of the first show, but have to watch 15-20 seconds of the end. Kodi won't let you skip to the end. And then, when you have waited and the next show have started (remember that you are still a bit behind the LiveTV position), you still cant skip forward in the new show. If you try you just get back to a few seconds after where you were. So it is not possible to return to LiveTV without exit and restart LiveTV.
I'm using daily Milhouse build of Kodi on a Pi3.

There is one change that was added to MediaPortal when I was a member of the development team (test, not coder, before you ask me to do it!).
When you have a list of TV recordings, if there is only one episode of a particular program, don't show the folder structure, just show the episode.
I don't know if this makes sense in terms of the way Kodi handles things. For example, if Kodi is simply showing the folder structure in the SMB share in the case of MediaPortal, it might not work, but it definitely adds to the usability to not have to navigate into/out of a folder when there is only going to be one item in it.
Best wishes,
Mark
