Ok guys, I've just updated the "Pick the Right Kodi Box" with additional Q5/10 Pro info. @HereIsTom may even be happier Wink

The missing info concerns the Remote control, Android GUI. I simply cannot find any detailed info , so Questions:

a) Does the Q5/Q10 come with an RF Air Mouse or the much hated, torturous, vanilla IR D-Pad Air Mouse variety ?
b) If IR only, are users purchasing RF Air Mice, remotes ?
c) Any annoying limitations with the included HiMedia remote ?

@hdmkv please update your Post #1 to include this sort of info, as regular (non Android TV) Boxes can be extremely frustrating to use if manufacturers / sellers don't get the Remote GUI couch experience right. I hassle WeTek constantly about this sort of stuff. Wink

a) No, simple Irda remote
b) http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=904.0

c) there is not STOP playback button !!!

i don't understand why Android box = NO stop .... WHY ! There is Quantum mechanics paradox so the world end?

c*bis ) other limitations common with all player:
- Remote control with backlight or fluorescent buttons
- Remote control with more customizable buttons or TV buttons

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

d) Hicontrol APP: himedia Q box (with hisilicon soc) have a funzionality like "inverse" miracast , from TV ---> to smartphone and it's better than Air Mouse ( from my opinion )

@looun: Add this to that list: The HiMedia player cannot go to a specific time in a video or audio file. This is very disappointing. Even my 8-years old TVIX multimedia player can do that. However, I've already requested a time seek feature for a next firmware in the Futeko forum.

However its not a 100% solution but you can use the mouse to seek to specific parts.

I already thought about the oppo but i rather wait for the new 4k native players generation.

Il try that workaround as soon as my 5tb device for the q10 will arrive.

Screen is over 3m diagonal
