Hello,
I just received my X9S and I am quite excited to try it out. As I have mentioned previously it is located in another room so I cannot use the IR remote. For my HTPC I connected the two rooms with a USB cable and used the MCE IR receiver to control the HTPC. Would that work with this box as well? What would I have to do? I understand that Flirc would be a possible solution (can someone confirm?) but if I could avoid the extra cost that would be great.

Thanks... next f/w sounds exciting. On this point though, can you also please add 3D.SBS and 3D.TAB as allowed filenames for auto-switching to 3D? These are already recognized by Kodi.

Just got my x9s. Pretty impressed! = )

I have some suggestions though
1. Would you be supporting Opus codec? Its gaining popularity pretty quickly.
2. mkv seem to support 3D information built into the files. Would you be willing to support this in internal player, so it will automatically switch to 3D when opening such files.

I'm going to return mine, too many issues like audio pops all over the place and Deep Color not working with my Denon / LG, and 3D MVC MKVs not playing properly. So yeah, currently it's just not worth the $150 when I could just use my Raspberry Pi and I only lose out on Atmos / DTS:X.

Was going to purchase one from Amazon but now i guess i hold off my purchase.....

Hi @hjbaard, I'm also using Harmony Ultimate. Play/pause are included in the 'X9' commands in Harmony database. For FF/REW, MCE remote (Ortek) didn't work for me (as @timstephens24 reported it did for him), and neither did FLIRC .

@OlivierQC & @movie78, I understand @timstephens24's reasoning as he's right that MVC MKV's don't work well w/present 1.2.4 f/w. But, @mirror88 claims this is fixed in 1.2.5, which I'll verify when f/w is out. Re: audio pops, I haven't experienced any. Re: Deep Color, it's working well for me set to 'Auto'. It isn't 100%, but as @wesk05 noted, "Leaving deep color and colorspace to "Auto" mostly works".
