RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Nexus)
(2016-11-17, 07:52)Copeyboy Wrote: Okay, I've done a clean install of OpenELEC, then updated to the newest LibreELEC build on the first page, and I'm still unable to install any emulators. I have done a soft reset of all of my LibreELEC settings, then a hard reset of the LibreELEC settings. I am still getting the message that "the dependency on game libretro version 1.0.0 could not be satisfied". I have no idea how to resolve this and I really want to play my games on this system again. I was able to on all of the OpenELEC builds, but have had trouble with all of the LibreELEC

Update to the latest version, hopefully this should fix the issue.

Hi,

i did fresh install of libreelec and then updated last retroplayer build from Irusak (18.11.), but am also getting "the dependency on game libretro version 1.0.0 could not be satisfied" during install of emulators.

I just tried the Beta6 build. Add-ons can now be installed again. Thx for the fix!

Hi,
it seems that older OpenELEC 6.0 based images from https://openelec.freestylephenoms.com/retroplayer/ are gone. Is there any alternate link? Or can someone upload them elsewhere? According to Google's cache they are gone for no more than a week (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s...clnk&gl=us).

I'm interested mostly in WeTek Play and RPi2 images but it would be nice to have them all accessible for comparision purposes. These are the wanted files:
OpenELEC-WeTek_Play.arm-6.0-retroplayer-20160304115656-r21909-gc5fa697.tar
OpenELEC-RPi2.arm-6.0-retroplayer-20160304094500-r21909-gc5fa697.tar
OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-6.0-retroplayer-20160304090200-r21909-gc5fa697.tar

Lukas Rusak: Is there any guide for compiling OE/LE with RetroPlayer from sources (https://github.com/lrusak/OpenELEC.tv)? The guide here (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=171180) seems to be outdated as there is no mkpkg_kodi-retroplayer and mkpkg_retroplayer in tools. Is it possible to compile old images from retroplayer-openelec-6.0 branch or do the download scripts point to different versions of sources (from master) now?

Thank you.

Hi there,
I installed the libreelec alpha and updated to the retroplayer-build (generic; intel nuc) from lrusak and now I try to get n64 games working. I installed mupen but as soon as I try to launch a game Kodi just quits and restarts. I don't know if the log is any helpful. Can I provide you with further information?

Hi KOPRajs,

Most of the team has moved to LibreELEC (their maiden version was 7.0). lrusak does test builds based on the upcoming 8.0. The link for these is in the OP directly under the windows and linux downloads. I recommend switching to LibreELEC.

If you still want OpenELEC 6.0, you'll have to build from source. Fortunately, the source for this still exists in my retroplayer-6.0 branch of OE. It uses the retroplayer-15.2 branch of Kodi, so be aware that it'll be pretty outdated and of course there's no support. The guide you linked to should still work for this older source tree.

N64 support requires a1rwulf's OpenGL branch: https://github.com/a1rwulf/xbmc/tree/ret...17beta4-gl . This isn't included in the current builds yet because a1rwulf is still working on it, so no N64 support just yet.

I'll make sure to kick a1rwulf as we get closer to the end of Kodi's feature freeze and the opening of the RetroPlayer pull request.

I assume you mean it gives a black screen when playing a game? Which emulator? Have you tried others? Can you provide more information - or better yet - post a debug log?

I haven't tested on the Wetek s905, but I have a Hub sitting on my desk waiting to be opened Smile Things are a little busy now, but in the next few days I'll load RetroPlayer on the Wetek and look into this.

Aarch64 builds will mostly not be working because the emulators don't have dynarec support for aarch64.

I deleted all the old builds as it is time to move on. The builds have changed drastically since 6.0 and there is no point in maintaining dead code.

Not really, Basically my tree is setup to build exactly like LibreELEC, but I don't even think my OpenELEC retroplayer branch exists anymore.

But there seems to be no other public image for WeTek Play now, is there? As far as I know the Krypton builds are not ready yet for the older WeTek Play.

Well, it seems to be possible to compile RetroPlayer 15.2 images from https://github.com/lrusak/OpenELEC.tv/tr...enelec-6.0 but I can't find out how to compile emulator addons. I know it's out-dated and there's no support but I expect the procedure to be the same as for the current LibreELEC tree.

So the question is how do I compile LibreELEC / OpenELEC images and the binary addons from your repositories? And what repository should I use?

Thanks.

Anybody know if it is possible to load a Amlogic S905 build (https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-2156.html) onto my Minix NEO U1 and then apply garbear's RetroPlayer build as an update?
