TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;)
Exclamation
version 0.0.273
- Settings \ Appearance \ Start When Any Number Key Pressed (for Channel Shortcut Numbers)

@RayW1986 Try this.

All the numeric shortcuts to Lists and Last Channel will need to be remapped in Action Editor if you turn this on.

That's fantastic. I think a lot of users will prefer this method, as I say, because of being used to the way cable companies do this.

version 0.0.274
- Settings \ Appearance \ Auto-Play Channel On Number Input (for Channel Shortcut Numbers) [Thanks @RayW1986]

Yes. Thanks to RayW1986 if you turn this new setting on, otherwise it will just scroll to that channel number.

You have to make sure your xmltv ids are numeric and turn on the right settings in:
Settings \ Appearance \ Channel Shortcuts

@primaeval, before I get too excited, do I need to do any other thing apart from those settings or do I need to press something before pressing the numbers as currently pressing number just take me to former shortcut. eg pressing 3 before i even put the rest of the number take me to channel listing next.

Sorry if I sound too noob

There are lots of options now.

I think nothing is enabled by default in this version.

You need to turn on Settings \ Appearance \ Channel Shortcut Numbers to Index or Id first.

The default is to press Shift then a 3 digit number to scroll to the Channel Index.
ACTION_SHIFT needs to be mapped to the real Shift key in Keymap Editor or keymap.xml.

If you choose Id you need to make an xmltv file with numeric ids, probably with Webgrab+Plus.
So in WebGrab++.config.xml you need to change the xmltv_id from whatever it is now to the right number.
eg change
Code:

BBC News

to
Code:

BBC News

If you need more digits there is a Setting for that: Channel Shortcut Digits

If you don't want to press Shift first turn on: Settings \ Appearance \ Start When Any Number Key Pressed
This means the original Number Key shortcuts won't work any more unless you use Action Editor to change them to another action.
Action Editor is in Settings \ Lab1.

If you want the Channel to Play after you type in the code turn on: Settings \ Appearance \ Auto-Play Channel On Number Input

If anyone sets up webgrab for any settop boxes that they want to share they could post the link here unless there is a legal reason not to.

Just setting up my xml file with the xmltv_id numbers, and was wondering, as you now have an option to autoplay the channel when selected in the EPG, is it possible that while you are watching live tv, that you can type the channel number for it to turn the channel over.

Thanks again for all the amazing work

- Settings \ Appearance \ Channel Shortcut Numbers = None|Index|Id (id is a nummeric id from your xmltv file)
- New Action "GO_TO_FIRST_CHANNEL": ["ACTION_LAST_PAGE"] which is END in Windows
- click anywhere in Stream Setup background to Close the dialog
- Refresh Addon Folders fix for missing addons
- Add Folder fix for Alternative Streaming Method

@gillmacca This should let you setup your xmltv to the same as your settop box. Match the xmltv ids to the channel number shortcuts and you can send me half the money you're not giving to Murdoch. Wink He's got enough hounds to release already.

@gillmacca You can press END to get to the first channel now (or map up some other button).

@htpcmac This should ignore Addon Folders where the addon has been removed.

Half of itHuh? you deserve all of it, and more

Okay so. Although I wasn't able to have the channel just open an app .. I Can Now launch the addon or Android App from the Favourites Menu Item. entry from the channel menu.

This is useful for when the stream doesn't open and now wen I exit out of the android app it brings me back to the guide.

Now I just need a functional EPG. which I will probably make on the PC and set up a network XMLTV source. (might take the enomax out of storage and see if I can extract or move that system epg

This certainly Rivals Psuedo TV and I have a feeling a bit more stable. Cant wait to get everything operational.

@primaeval - With regards to any more enhancements, all I can think is one thing I used to like was when I updated my xmltv file the addon would refresh the listings the next time I opened the guide. This worked well as I would update overnight & the first time I opened the guide it would update. Now it updates every 24 hours, which is just a random time around the middle of the day. I'm not sure when this changed, it could possibly be when you added the MD5 check but I couldn't say for sure. If you could change this to force a refresh on a change to the xml file the guide would be pretty much complete for me Smile

Thanks.

Just given it a quick test. Works great.
I am able to enter the channel number while watching tv, but that just takes me back to the EPG and the corresponding channel number

What happens on my commercial system:-

- If I am watching a channel and enter a channel number the box switches to playing the entered channel number (if valid), if I enter the channel number of the channel I am watching the stream is refreshed (an interesting option if you are having issues with the stream and want to refresh it)

- If I am in the EPG and I enter a channel number the EPG shifts to align itself with that channel in the EPG

Sounds like an easy challenge haha

Have you got version 0.0.275 and turned on "Settings \ Appearance \ Auto-Play Channel On Number Input" ?

Thanks.

I spent a long time trying to stop it updating in the foreground and now you want it to do that. :O

Do you leave your device on all the time?

If you turn it on every time you can enable the Background Service and tick the Login box so it updates in the background when you start Kodi.

I'll have a look at the file modified check for local files. I'm not sure that is working right now.
