tvheadend is a story of its own ... but livetv disables PT automatically, no matter what backend. If you want AC3 on the avr's display, e.g. cannot live multi channel pcm, set pcm channels to 2.0 and enable AC3 Transcoding.

Going out of sync is a severe issue and PT in that combination is not the biggest problem. Can you try: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/andro...bi-v7a.apk - it would be good to see a Debug Log with the channel going out of sync I think it is sw decoded and that's the issue.

Retry again - was tested and download 25 times. If you already run a later version you need to uninstall those first. Alternatively: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/android...bi-v7a.apk

Don't zap. Press stop and then open the new channel directly.

Will the final release of Kodi 17 will fix the DTS PT and audio juddering ?
using Android box 6.01 version

Recording of this channel works fine? Log is okay, besides mediacodec stuck for 500 ms here and 500 ms there. Will hopefully be fixed when rewritten from scratch as ffmpeg hwaccel during v18.

No. Final android won't change anything. Android has no maintainer anymore, we just try to make it as less sucking as possible.

Thanks for responding, so no DTS support for Android users from 17 final release ?
It was fine in 16.1, its sad to let DTS sound go in 17, will there be any work around, i dont want the AC3 transcoding, it looses the original DTS effect

No it was not fine on 16.1
It was just a messy hack

You said your android box run android 6.01 so, if I'm not mistaken, you should have DTS working

If you have not, then your box maker mess with android sound API

I installed Kodi 17 RC2, all my DTS transcoded to Doldby digital 5.1, i cannot get DTS signal into my receiver whereas i used to get in 16.1 version
Yes my box supports DTS, i tested with my other android players.

The only change for DTS made between 16.1 and 17 is the removal of the messy hack

The fact that DTS work with other player and not with Kodi 17:

-a bug in kodi 17 (but there should be other report for the same issue)
-these other player use the same hack that kodi 16.1 was using
-you have made something wrong with kodi 17 settings
