Not much to say which I haven't said already, 3rd party add-ons need support from their authors. If the add-on works with Jarvis, then keep that iteration until a full release of Krypton then approach the author for that update.
I do note, the Kodi forum doesn't have this add-on in it's own repository and it's likely the add-on may not have been vetted by all concerned.
Moving this thread to add-ons

figured out solution for this addon :
in _Edit.py replaced
MainBase = 'https://goo.gl/xxxxx'
with 'http://goo.gl/xxxxx'
but i assume there is some other workaround with python itself

Thanks for that fix, most users will not benefit unless you notify the original author and he can work out if the patch can be global.
I'll mark this thread as solved.

seriously ??
do you even read what im writing, or you just dont give a crap cause it is some kind of 3rd party addon
issue is not solved, its just a quickfix for this specific addon and for some part of it, kodi should work with https urls and for some reason on my machine its not working, and as i can see on other posts there are similar issues with ssl certificate, it worked perefectly on kodi v16, but not working on kodi v17, i think it might be something with urllib2, whatever it is, its an issue
and please if you cant give a proper answer to this issue dont reply at all cause all i got is something unimportant and would really need support from someone who actualy knows something bout kodi
thank you

You do realize that these guys are authors of KODI, not the addon?

i do, but then they should know what it is about and try to give proper answer, not something like i give a crap about 3rd party addons
summary of issue : addon works great on v16, has ssl certificate error for https on v17 on my machine, on laptop all works great, on tv box all work great and i assume there are a lot of addons made for 16, not upgraded yet for v17

Changing your host from https to http obviously will fix an SSL/TLS issue, but not the underlying one. The first thing to determine is if the site's certificate is in fact valid. I had Pandora quit on me for certificate issues and it corrected itself later. Unfortunately I don't know enough about how SSL/TLS is implemented in Kodi to figure out why Kodi might not accept a valid certificate. Could be that certain CAs aren't accepted in Kodi, or maybe it is self-signed certificate and Kodi won't accept that?

yes, you closed topic making it solved even it is not,
you keep telling me to contact addon creator, if it would be issue with it i would contact him i wouldnt bother here, its some python issue with certificate, i do web development and i understand pythong a lot i could rewrite addon myself if needed this is last place i would come for help and allready regeretit cause of cocky developers like you that think we are all some ungrateful bot users asking pointless questions and you gonna upgrade my warn level for this
i came here for solution, not some pointless answers
