Thai script in estuary
#1
In Windows.

I have thai subtitle fonts working perfectly but have a problem using Thai script in the estuary skin.

When I tried switching to Thai language, an add-on was installed but no Thai character was able to be displayed. Presumably because the standard Arial font does not support thai unless it's the Unicode version.

The Thai font (garuda) that I use for subtitles is not available to estuary as a skin font, so am I supposed to install a Thai font for use by the skin?

If so, where should I put it?

Many thanks

If Arial doesn't work then I guess you'd need to replace the font, the Estuary skin uses Google Noto Sans as it's font so I'd again guess that you'd need to replace the font with https://www.google.com/get/noto/#sans-thai not sure how you would go about doing this though.

rename your custom font to Arial.ttf and place it in the fonts directory of the estuary skin.
next select 'Arial based' in settings > interface > skin > fonts
Do not PM or e-mail Team-Kodi members directly asking for support.
