v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)
Hi Milhouse,
Ok thanks, I'll leave it in your and Popcornmix capable hands to investigate further. :-)
Regards, Kevin.
Morning Guys,

Not a biggy, noticed the osd (pressing ok) while watching live tv has disappeared in the 0125 build.

Kind Regards

Bucky...

The only major change in #0806 is the gcc/glibc bump but hopefully they're not involved, as that would be a major task to track down...and wouldn't really explain why this affects only HEVC playback and not any other video codec.

Does the leak seem to be once per play? i.e. if you play/stop after a few seconds repeatedly does memory exhaust much faster than playing a single file that lasts an hour? (I'd guess it probably would)

How hard would it be to build head of tree with older gcc/glibc? Does that crash with out-of-memory after repeated plays?
(I suspect that #0805 is really the culprit, but the evidence is currently a bit unclear).
BTW John is on holiday this week so we won't get an immediate fix, but would be nice to be sure the bug is in the hevc code when he returns.

Sorry, what do you mean?

While watching live tv, normally if you press the ok button on the remote, the osd pops up, and thats stopped.
So no way to change the audio/video/3D/Subs settings or pause/resume from the osd buttons...
I can confirm that with 0125. My Teletext-button is also not working

0124 is fine: "OK" and "Teletext"-buttons are working
0125 both buttons are not working

Same here - no osd player control window anymore.

Acknowledged, no osd during livetv.

It's working on macOS, latest vanilla Kodi. So seems to be either a linux or libreelec or even milhouse build, maybe Pi specific problem.
Can someone with the OSD problem post a debug log.

Thanks. As this affects Generic that rules out the RPi-only possibility.

@ksooo can you test with PR13435 as that is a yet-to-be-merged PR that I included in #0125 (both RPi and Generic)?

I've just tested master and newclock5 with no issues on Pi.
I added PR13435 and still not seeing a problem.
I'm using pvr.hts and play BBC 1, then press enter. OSD shows for me.

Applied the PR. Does not make a difference. Still working. Problem with custom keymaps? Just guessing.
