Hey there! The Content path setting supports everything Kodi does. I've got mine pointing to a SMB share at the moment. What are you trying to point to? Have you added that as a source in the Kodi File Manager?
My data is saved in a local attached hard drive and I want to make it easy to move the Kodi and its data from one machine to another, so I want to save all information to the Kodi special folder. I manually created a folder "special://home/cv" and modified the settings.xml to point the content path to "special://home/cv", I can see the path has been updated from cv settings, but each time I started cv, it told me it's running in demo mode and need me set the content path.

Where do you see the date you're referring to? If you're referring to this, chances are it will update when the version in the repository replicates. It should show the release date for the current version.

Please let me know if you all have issues with this version. Additionally, a development version of the CinemaVision Service Add-on has been released on the CinemaVision website. Currently included in the CinemaVision Service Add-on is automatic content updating.

Hi Ragnarok, version 1.1.0 is working well. One issue I've noticed is that all audio format bumpers are working except for DTS:X. Instead of a DTS:X bumper it plays a DTS-HD bumper. Not sure if this issue was present in the previous version since I've only now tested DTS:X with 1.1.0.

Hi,

1.1 is working fine, except for trailers. I have it set to play 6 in the global settings, and it does, but the trailers are always from the kodidb and never from iTunes. Ideally I’d like to have some random in theaters now trailers shown. How exactly does the trailer logic supposed to work?

Still can't select directories as a source for a module that are anything but the Kodi installed home folder or local hard drives. I need access to Windows smb shared directories. Even added sources do not work.

We've added this to our requested features. It should be pretty easy to add, but it's currently not supported (the script doesn't know what to do with the path).

Are you adding the filename tag so that the script can recognize when a movie is DTS:X? FFMPEG doesn't yet support native detection (that I'm aware of) for DTS:X, Auro 3D or Atmos, but if you put (Atmos), (Auro 3D) or (DTS-X) in your movie's filename, CinemaVision should play that trailer. As soon as native detection exists, we'll add support for it.

Can you send me your Sequence file?

Odd, on my Windows install of 17.6 and the 18 nightly I'm pretty sure I'm able to browse to SMB shares and any sources I've added. I'll double check tonight. What platform are you running on again?

It's Windows 10 with 17.6. I just get a list of local drives and access to the Kodi Appdata home folder. There's none of my added smb shared locations and no ability to add one. Make sediting a sequence to experiment with the new features rather difficult.

@Ragnarok - I'm using the default 2d sequence. No matter what, trailers are played from the kodi dB only.

Also on random occasions when trailers are playing, it will start playing a movie instead of the next trailer. It’ll start randomly somewhere in a movie.

thx

@Ragnarok

A feature request. Can the content update be broken down into pieces, or perhaps the trailer update can be separated somehow?

I use trivia slides and apple trailers. The trivia slides are pretty much static. Apple trailers get updated on a daily basis. So when I do the content updates, I actually want to update the trailers.

The issue is, every time, the trivia slides are reimported, which takes several minutes on arm based devices. The trailer update takes about 2 seconds.

Is there anyway I can do just the apple trailer update without rescanning all the trivia slides?

Thanks

I originally posted this to the CinemaVision forum but have had no response, I am hoping someone can help out here.
In particular my question in around the automation script portion of CinemaVisioon. I received some nanoleaf panels and am looking to automate them as part of my CinemaVision. I am able to control the lights using python but the problem is the code to interface to the lights is written in python 3. It looks like the CinemaVision automation action control will only spawn a python2 interpreter. Is there a way to use python3 for some scripts and python2 for others? I am utilizing this interface https://github.com/software-2/nanoleaf

I've had a problem with cinemavision for a few months now. I stopped using it then last night I decided to try it out again and see if it could work, but I'm getting an odd error that produces no errors in the logs or anything.

I've set it up the way I like it as far as sequence. When I run the cinemavision as a test inside the add-on, it works; I see the bumpers, the trailers, etc. I have saved as "default" (name of the sequence).

When I try to load it from the context menu for a movie, the context menu for cinemavision pops up, where it gives me the option to play, cancel, etc. In the top right hand corner, there is no name for the sequence loaded. It's just a blank box. I can't select play, cancel, or anything. The only thing I can do is back out of the screen, which it does. It doesn't freeze or anything...it just doesn't do anything.

I'm running krypton 17.6, android, on shield tv.

Is there a way around this error? Can I make it so when I push enter on a movie, it'll start the sequence in case it's the context menu that's screwing it up?

Thanks for the amazing work! I really love the add-on (when it's working for me..Smile)

Hi peeps,

loving the cinemavision addon and after a bit of work I've managed to get it working nicely with Kodi DSPlayer.

I do however have a couple of little issues I'm trying to work out, so I'm here to pick your brains Smile

1. Despite having a pretty fast internet connection with 200meg download, I cannot get 1080p Apple trailers to play without so much stopping and buffering they are unwatchable. Is this a know issue with Apple trailers or is there a trick to make them work?
2. After my trailers and bumpers etc have finished and for a couple of seconds before the feature plays, I can see the Kodi interface. Is there any way to prevent this? It seems to be the only minor thing spoiling the cinema aesthetic for me right now.

Is there a Kodi v18 Leia release of cinemavision yet?

Thanks

Love the add-on, question. I'm running 17.6 with Aeon Spin for my skin. I have 1.1.0 installed, and when I go into the trivia configuration under music I select directory but the only option I get is urepo, I installed the urepo repo to get TVTunes.  So I removed the repo and it's still showing Urepo as the only option. at the top I see www.urepo.net/install

what do I do to fix this?

Hello quebert

uRepo and the TV Tunes add-on that comes from it are both banned add-ons. You will need to remove the repository completely for assistance.
