You can map your remote keys as you want via customcontroller.blahblah.xml - if you found the mapping resulting in this behavior i am open for other proposals. I guess you want to go to favorites from the main menu all the time instead of leaving Kodi (which should be the case if no movie is playing i guess)?

I already checked the file, the button is mapped to the favorites menu in the global section of the keymap, so of my understanding it should be supposed to open the favorites menu on all circumstances.

It might be a feature for kicking Kodi into the background than - iirc something like that came from MrMC

Hi Memphiz,

New Release from IOS App Signer 1.10 works fine.

The last current build 20180224 - http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/darwi...b-tvos.deb doesn't support the hardware acceleration of 4K content as well as build 20180216 with the time stamp 21:20

- no support for HEVC/h.265 hardware decoding
- AVFoundation hardware decoder which allows 4k HDR decoding/rendering for AppleTV4k, don't works

However, the hardware acceleration of 4K content worked flawlessly in build 20180216 with the timestamp of 18:59

Hope you will fix it soon.

Thx for all good work

The only change that i did in between those 2 versions from Feb 16th is the workaround to better detect interlaced content and fallback to software decoding in those cases. This fixed the problem horstepipe had with some live-tv channels which were rendered black because the decoder was openend but couldn't handle the actual stream.

But what you describe (no hevc hw decoding and no 4k Playback) sounds exactly like what i am experiencing here. For me the reason is that i have downgraded the AppleTV4 to tvOS 10.2.2 to do some work for the greeng0blin jailbreak that is available for that tvOS version. The Support for HEVC hw decoding simply needs tvOS 11 to work and is not supported in older tvOS versions.

One of those 2 things has to be the reason that it doesn't work for you anymore. If you are really sure that you only need to take the earlier Kodi version from Feb 16th and make it work again - then it has to be the workaround for horstepipe at fault here.

@horstepipe In the latter case i think the workaround i did for you has to be remvoed again ... - what livetv channel is giving you issues and which pvr addon are you using?

Is this now 10.13.x (High Sierra) compatible ?    Ive been sticking on 10.12 solely because this app did not work on 10.13 ?
Please say I can finally upgrade my MacBook Smile

I can't see anything mentioned on dan's page about this

So for me, the logs are fine, I see that I have started the 4K movie "Mad Max - Fury Road" and in one build it is shown as SDR and in the other as HDR10. Not sure why you don't see that.

Thx - the logs confirm it - the content is wrongly detected as interlaced on the latest builds. I have an idea for a fix for this though.
