Release Google Drive for KODI
Hi, what is the role of the login process page?
Reply
@moreje Its role is to do the authentication flow. Kodi doesn't have a browser, so the authentication flow must be done somewhere else. That's where the login page comes in.

Or you can add a source in the File manager too..

Hello, I have installed your add on via github and have logged into my account without issues and love how it functions but upon trying the option as adding at as a source I have come across some issues.

After following these steps exactly I get an error "Unable to connect: Couldn't retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you lie to add it anyway?"

Am I missing something here ?

@FunkyKong I made a mistake with those instructions.
These are the correct steps:

Option 1:
Go to Add videos... > Browse > Add network location.. > Web server directory (HTTP):
Server address: localhost
Remote Path: source
Port: 8585

Option 2:
Go to Add videos... > Just Enter over "<None>" > You will get the screen "Enter the path or browse for media locations":
Enter this path: http://localhost:8585/source/

I'll fix that previous post.

Ah yes thank you that as fixed the issue!

Having this source adding ability will that now allow for automatic exporting of .strm files ? Are there any other benefits ?

Just want to let you know for now I don't recommend adding the drive as a source to play videos. The navigation it's slower than doing it thru the addon. I'll work in this issue later.

Navigation is through the menus is very slow. Alright I will go back to the older way. Very happy!!!!

Hi, is it possible to add a specific folder for .srt subtitles?
Media uploaded from Google Photos are kept under Google Photos/<Year>
It would be nice to look for .srt with the same name as the media file under a /Subtitles folder for example.

@makai12 Yes, it's possible. In fact you can have your subtitle file (str, sub or sbv) anywhere in your drive. The only requirement is the name must contains the name of your video and the extension must be str, sub or sbv.

Ok, so Im coming back with a few findings Smile

(at least on my windows pc and 2 mibox android tv boxes)
ISO files work flawlessly within the navigation of the addon
VIDEO_TS folder wont work ---perhaps adding the ability to the addon to read VIDEO_TS.IFO files
BluRay Files (as a folder just like VIDEO_TS), wont read also its index file, so it cannot be read

I dont know if this can be added to the addon

Also, I have not been able to enter the "http://localhost:8585/source" I dont know if theres an additional step to make it work

Will this localhost be able to be accessed from another computer?

example http://<replace localhost with computer ip>:8585/source/ accessed thru a mibox ...?

Hope I could made myself clear, since english is not my mother tongue Smile Smile

 Google Drive

Something went wrong with this operation.

Please try again later.

This happens when playing video files with the Google Add On

@vtwin0001 thanks for the info.  I'll check the video_ts issue.
To add your drive as a source, follow the steps in the post #139.
For now, you can't access it from another computer.

@FunkyKong please post your log when reporting an issue: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy

Hello @cguZZMan, I see that you've added "Auto-extract STRM" to 1.0.2 changelog, is this feature implemented? I've installed latest master but can't seem to find that option.
Thanks!

@efegue it's not. It's still a work in progress. Put it there by mistake.
