Maybe this bug report is related to your behavior ---> https://github.com/asciidisco/plugin.vid...issues/362
Testing new 0.13.6 Netflix Addon should be worth a try...

hi guys,

i installed this addon yesterday and i really like it.
before this addon i got amazon vod to work. and some of that content i could watch in 720p.
I run kodi on ubuntu 16.04 and id like to know if i can see the netflix content in full hd, yet?
i read about some drm stuff, which hinders linux from max resolution.
while i tested the addon the best resolution i could get was about 840x540. or something like that.

I just installed the update and exactly same thing happened, I even installed on my s8+ to see if I could get it to work on there but same thing happened there. So it doesn't work on my shield TV or Samsung s8+

Check the inputstream Add-on settings, it should allow you to change resolutions.

Don't know if it matters that it's on an Amazon Fire TV 2015. I have 2 of them and I can't get it to work on either. Got it to work perfectly on MiBox and my Motox4.
Wait. Did you use your motox ESN on your AFTV? I could definitely see that being a problem.
No, no...I have the addon working on my Moto...I used the correct ESN on the AFTV I promise.
As @natethomas said the most probably reason is the ESN. What wonders me is that you have NFANDROID1 prefix on Moto. Because the Moto has quite new kernel and should already support version2 (NFANDROID2)
One other reason could be that you use a VPN -> Netfilx has several ways to detect and fail if so.

Edit: But could be also android 8 related, We ( or better I ) don't have ever tested kodi on android 8.

It's pretty amazing how smart Netflix on Android is. It would fail if I was recording video via the HDMI, but not if I wasn't, even if the recorder was plugged in. At one point I thought I'd broken it again, until I realized it was just reacting to my video recording.

I am not a log expert, but isnt your nightly version (compiled Mar 4 with inputstream.adaptive version 2.1.13) maybe a little bit outdated and you should try a recent version?
