Sorry, read this again too late and the pastebin links are expired.
Maybe it makes sense if you provide me one zipped stutter log via mail (peak3d a@t kodi.tv)

Exact same issue on my philips 65PUS8102 with android tv 7.

50hz material over pvr addon DVBViewer is ok, but some videos looks exactly like on @CiNcH youtube video. Every few seconds (~3) a few frames gets dropped, but counter on ctrl-shift-o is not increased.

Are there any news on this?

Where I can find SPMC?

Thx pOpY

@CiNcH which SPMC or kodi do you using right now on your android tv?
Have the same issue as you showed in your youtube video with kodi v17.6 & latest v18 alpha.
Now trying latest spmc krypton "SPMC-spmc-krypton-1f9a682-armeabi-v7a.apk" from here: http://download.semperpax.com/spmc/android-arm/?C=M;O=A

Did you ever get a smooth playback on android tv with kodi?
if not i am planing to get back to my windows htpc.

@peak3d any chance to get this fixed in kodi 18? Do you still need a log?

Playback is fine with SPMC v17!
Here is a debug log from kodi v18 where the playback is choppy (like on @CiNcH): removed because of addon spam

1.) Sorry, don't have the time to extract useful information from your emby / pvr messed log file.
pls. disable all addons first, and play a local file or a file over nfs.

2.) I have no clue what choppy means for you

3.) If addons are disabled, pls. enable video component logging (and pls. only this!!)

We have already been in contact via mail concerning this issue but unfortunately could not find anything useful within the video component log.

@CiNcH already posted a video, so here is mine recorded running kodi v18 on my Philips 65PUS8102 with AndroidTV 7.

Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/3TViEqmGzpc
Debug Log (playing the movie for ~30 seconds): https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/k2bDJ5ymV9/
A/V Component Log (playing the movie for ~30 seconds): https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/cHjqC8265z/

As @CiNcH already mentiond, there is nothing usefull in the logs.

But it's unwatchable/unusable in its current state.

Main difference to newer versions is that earlier we forced fps with stupid usleeps. That most likely workarounded broken decoders. But is insanely dump as it costs cpu GPU sync.

Might be the only intrusive workaround for Sony devices. Sony killed Linux on the PS3 they can die in fire.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

My time is limited and I'm not a sony TV user -> I canot reproduce your issue.
Sorry, cannot help without debug log / video component enabled.

Please look at my previous post if you see something in the logs.
I have made one with just video component enabled.

Any chance to get the workaround back in an test build? I am here to test.
Please Note that my TV is NOT a sony, its an philips 65PUS8102 with AndroidTV 7.
So it seems an general issue for AndroidTV.

No ... Philips, Sony, didn't they share this one broken SOC?
