Solved LEIA - External Players Do Not Update Watched Status
#1
While LEIA is in RC and before final release, I'm hoping a dev can address an issue:

All titles played using KODI's internal VideoPlayer with various skins including Estuary update the watched status fine.
All titles played using an external player launched via the playercorefactory.xml do not update the watched status no matter the skin used including Estuary.
KODI versions prior to 18 always updated watched status when using external players launched from the playercorefactory.xml but sadly no longer do.
Fwiw, I do have <playcountminimumtime>1140</playcountminimumtime> added in the playercorefactory.xml.

Here is a debug log file skipping a title toward near the end with an external player.  Upon return to KODI at completion after auto exit of external player it has not marked the title as 'Watched'.  It remains 'Unwatched'.  This skipping method has always worked in the past to update the watched status so I know it is not because I didn't play the title in its entirety.  Even if I do play from start to finish, it still does not auto update watched status.  Just clarifying for this debug log.  Fwiw, I have been and am currently using the latest v.18 nightly - January 1st, 2019.  I will try to provide anything further you might require upon request.

Thank you very much for any attention you might offer for this bug and happy new year.

Why don't you move this to the bug tracker where the right people will see it?

Because I use IE and GitHub doesn't support it.  I can't even sign up and I don't wish to install a new browser to make one post.  Just being honest.

Using Jan 5 nightly, it appears external players are now updating watched status.  Thank you to all involved making this possible.
