Hi everybody,

@Milhouse: Great work.

I would like to know which command is send when I choose the "power off system" at the menu because I would send the command via SSH to shutdown LibreElec on my RPi via Alexa.

At the moment I send this command to the RPi sshpass -p 'libreelec' ssh [email protected] kodi-send --action='CECStandby'. I know it's not very secure but it's just for testing purposes.
The TV is also shutting down but I just wanted to know if LibreElec is shutting down correctly with the command above.

You do know there's no power off on the rpi.
There's only standby of the monitor, Kodi will still be running.

Hello all,

I just moved from Libreelec Kodi 17 to Libreelec 8.95.002 (LibreELEC 9.0 (Leia) Beta 2, v8.95.2).

I've got a strange (for me ^^) problem : the first movie (since last reboot, or since last... I don't know really) I want to see is very long to start (more than 30 seconds), while movies I'll see after would be immediately started, as it was before I changed version of LibreElec.

It's not the movie itslef : first try on movie A : freeze (even the debug informations on the screen are frozen), movie B : ok, no freeze, movie A again : no freeze.

First try : about 23:36 : Abyss : Freeze (I repeat : even debug informations on top-left corner are frozen, numbers are not changing. It's runing again a few micro-seconds before movie starts)
Second try about 23:38 : Aftermath : ok, no freeze
Third try about 23:40 : Abyss again (same as first try) : ok, no freeze.

Do you have any idea ?

The LibreELEC forum is where you should post for support with official releases.

If you want help from this thread then at least have the courtesy to use one of the test builds that are being discussed here.

And always post a compete debug log (wiki), wherever you decide to post next...

I'm not sure to understand your "as least have the courtesy" : it looks like you are saying I'm rude, and I'm a bit surprised about that :
- I thought you were one of the builder of the LibreELEC distribution
- I thought this thread named "LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0)" was linked to LibreELEC
- I thought a "beta" version (it looks like the version I use is the beta version, RC4 ?) was not a "official release"

Furthermore, I thought I post a "Complete" log. I don't know why you are saying it's not a complete log, as when I look on it, it looks very similar to other logs posted here. It started with "========== /flash/config.txt ==========" and ended, hundreds of lines later, with "========== /run/samba/smb.conf ==========" section. I followed the post you wrote on the first page of this thread.


Finally, because I was not sure about all that, I had the courtesy to write "If it's not the good thread, or if I forgot to write something, please forgive me". It looks like I made a mistake and a a crime of lèse-majesté. Please forgive me again.

Nope, there is a difference between beta builds and "bleeding edge" nightly builds, and the latter are being used in this forum thread.

@Milhouse: Could you be so kind and tell me what command is triggered when I choose "power off system" at the menu?

I wanna send a ssh command via Alexa to shutdown Libreelec on my RPi correctly and also shutdown the TV via CEC.

At the moment I send this command to the RPi sshpass -p 'libreelec' ssh [email protected] kodi-send --action='CECStandby'. Does this command shutdown LibreElec correctly or does it just turn of the power?

Ok. Thank you for this precision : now, I know I have to check into the log to see if it's official, and if it's "official", no help can be asked here.

I still don't understand why it was so a lack of "courtesy" to make this mistake.

Regarding the log, if someone has some time to waste with a rude bad boy like me (just a few seconds to open the log start and end, could he tell me why it has been decribed as "uncomplete" ?

Nothing wrong with log provided as far as I can tell, comments relate to fact that you are not utilising one of milhouse testbuilds provided in this particular thread.

Basically you need to ask question in Libreelec forum, I suggest you commence your query in this Libreelec thread

No, you have to contact the people where you downloaded the LibreELEC build in the first place.

To be exact: more than 1 person or team are making their _own_ builds of the LibreELEC source code, with their _own_ set drivers, features and whatnot. You cannot ask someone to check someone else's Kodi build if there is a problem. It doesn't work that way. So yes, in case of the official beta builds go to the LibreELEC forum. Anything LibreELEC build with a full datetime, name and/or other serial number(s) added, it comes from someplace else.

FYI: LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-Milhouse-20190112210257-%230112-g84c634a.tar is build belonging to this forum thread. That's all.
