There doesnt seem to be any settings for this, configure is red.

Didn't realise you had to go into another section to install it specifically, my apologies, I am new to added addons manually, entirely my fault I missed the last line of directions, I saw install from zip file and didnt read the next line.

nvm, found it under Videos not in the actual playlist section of Movies.

Can you guide me where to post that tread with subtitles ? I find it very usefull.
and with add on:
I use kodi player. I added as source ftp from my local network and local hdd from usb tv.
I play only from these 2 sources.
i ve installed your add on.
i play: mp4, mkv, m2ts, ts, avi, mpeg.
It should work like this ?

I am using this add-on on my Nvidia Shield and it is working properly. I have not needed to use a custom path for it to work either. The default setting works.
Only options I have set up are:
Numebr of lines - 250
Single list - enabled
Show date - enabled
Show time - enabled
I have tested it by playing movies/tv shows directly from my library menu and it is properly saving them in the "last played" add-on.
I have also tested it by playing movies by going through Files -> share name -> clicking on the mkv movie file. The last played add-on is still correctly cataloguing them
