I have a bunch of movies on an external disk plugged into my Nvidia Shield TV running the latest Kodi version and AZ:2.

Most of my movies are recognised and are showing fine but I've noticed the mkv files are not showing in my library. If I go into my media and search videos I can see them in there with my other movies but they won't scan to my library.

Each movie is in an individual folder. eg:
Folder name: The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
File name: The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

All my other media works with this naming convention in... Say avi format.

Where am I going wrong? I wiped everything and scanned my media with Estury default skin and boom, Jane Doe and all my other mkv files are there.

Edit: Don't worry about me. I've found the issue and resolved it by disabling video tags in the settings: https://kodi.wiki/view/Video_file_tagging
same happened to me.. some of the movies wan´t scan to main library.. i solved it by manually creating NFO files..then scan media library and, it show only video file not the metadata info but when you refresh the info it will load it..

Maybe that's because skins images aren't compressed within a texture file and skin seems a little bit laggier. I get that kind on behavior on my Nvidia shield, not precisely two seconds, but a little delay certainly is evident while bringing OSD controls.
I use Kodi Texture Packer tool on every release. It's super easy.
Has the little delay disappeared when compressing the skin images? Or just improve? Could you explain how to use Texture Tool to compress skins images within a texture file in shield? Thank you.
Go over to skinning forum and download texture tool

Thanks

Screenshots of potential options below. The disadvantage of the shortened version is that you can no longer show the clearlogo above the progress bar on the right side (but that's not necessarily a bad thing in terms of being optional). Not sure which I prefer.

I like the Fullwidth  Smile
Full width for me too :-)

Yeah, PVr still needs quite a few additions. It is difficult for me to skin it because I currently do not have working pvr - my tuner (playstation play) doesn't have win 10 drivers, and I can't get reception in my loungeroom where my libreelec machine is.
If i recall correctly there is a dummy pvr for skinners.
Jurial mate , this are the log files from my kodi , log file one before installation , log file number two when he doesnt start anymore.
One clarification , kodi doesnt crash or stop , i shut down the application.

First off.

Jurial, you are a god.

I am pretty new to Kodi and used AZ a couple of weeks. And Rhen AZ2 Beta came.

Sorry if this is a noob question and not a skin question.

I have Madeleine some nodes and put them in a subwidget. Is it possible to have more than 25 items?

See attached image.

Best Regards

Disappears completely. I always compress skins downloaded directly from github to prevent this laggy behavior using Kodi Texture packer tool. I learned that the hard way in the old XBMC days.

Check Kodi wiki. You need to do this on a PC, use the tool, zip it, and install the skin as you normally do https://kodi.wiki/view/TexturePacker

Looks like you either don't have skinshortcuts installed (or it's disabled for some reason) or it's settings are corrupted.

Try installing skinshortcuts manually from addons. If it's already installed, check that it's enabled. Also try deleting its folder of settings from userdata/addon_data/script.skinshortcuts (if you use profiles you will also need to delete the same folder from your profile)

Thanks for the info. I have been researching and have found a gui based on TexturePacker: https://kodi.wiki/view/TextureTool

What I have understood the steps that I have to do are:

In Compile Mode:
1. Select your input directory (in this case "media" directory)
2. Select the output .xbt file ("Textures.xbt")
3. Press the "start" button to begin.

And then I have to delete all the files and folders in the "media" directory and put only the Textures.xbt file, or also the Square.xbt file?

@jurialmunkey Would it be possible for you to compress the skins images in future releases of the skin?

No need to delete anything. Kodi will automatically use the Textures file if present in the media directory.

Too much effort for me to recompress on every release because I will constantly need to remove it from the working directory if I want to test changes to textures.

Hello,
I have small problem. I use widget on home screen with my list from trakt.tv and I don't have "watched" indicator at home screen. Also I don't have "progress" indicator on whole kodi. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Ok thanks.

A suggestion, could you show the information of the first movie in the widget without having to place it in the movie? Or if it is not possible, remove the stars and "No information available"?
