have you selected - play best stream available in the setting? you should get 1080 that way

have you tried taking that setting off and see what quality it lets you choose when you try to play something? if you only get 576 must be something wrong with your set up

check what version you have as the updated one through kodi was still showing as a previous version for me after i updated. you'll need to get this one if it's the same:

Also, might want to select Apple TV even if you don't use one. Tried Android TV for my Shield and it didn't work. Tried again with Apple TV and it worked.

What are your settings within InputStream Adaptive?

I had the same issue on a Raspberry Pi because I tinkered with the settings in there instead of leaving them at the default settings. Once I put them back at default, and selected play best stream available in NBC Sports, that problem went away for me.
