A lot of cheap android box use remote with very few buttons, and 'ok' long press is used as a contextual/action menu.
I like this behavior, even with my full buttons harmony remote.
For my point of view, subitems are good candidates: short press to default action, long press to more advanced submenus.
What do you think ?
Skins have no control over what your remote does. The only actions a skin can define for on-screen elements is onclick, oninfo, onback, and directions - and in many cases kodi will even override these definitions.
Even if it were possible, I think it's a bad idea to hijack the context button into doing something else - the expectation is that it opens a popup context menu, not an entirely different window.
She's the really one that didn't find intuitive to press a direction on an element without any visual indicator (for sure, if you don't know those submenu exists, you will never try to press left/down to access them)
Whatever, thanks for your explanation and remarkable work!
