@jurialmunkey

Suggested changed to Basic Home Menu Styles; "Fixed-width Text" is way too wide and "Auto-width Text" results is ugly menu that changes width as you scroll left-to-right.
Can the spacing of "Fixed-width Text" be narrowed up.

Examples of my Home screens; https://imgur.com/a/Bqi9QED

Also, have you considered adding the End Time to more of the full-screen playback overlays? The Nvidia Shield doesn't have a info button and remapping the controls compromises other useful functions.
If it could added to the overlay that appears when you press the centre button, which I think is mapped to the "return" key bu default, and remain when you press the "up" key to get the full plot; that would make life very simply for Shield users.

Thanks!

Fixed width is already narrower than in AZ1. Other languages have longer labels for common sections like movies or tvshows. Also this width is chosen so that "Recently Added" will fit in the submenu label. Plus, without a bit of space, the labels start looking strange if with fixed width if too close together.

This is the issue that I was attempting to solve with the auto width - but unfortunately I haven't been able to solve the issue with widths changing depending on what item is focused. I know how to fix the issue conceptually, but the skinning engine doesn't have the ability to do what I want.

I don't know where end time would go without compromising other sections or creating inconsistencies with its location. Why can't you map long press OK to info for fullscreenvideo?

I saw it mentioned already but I would definitely like larger home menu icons exactly like in AZ1 -- with text under the icon rather than on the left side of the screen. I've always liked the look of the AZ1 icon home menu. Still using AZ1 mainly for this purpose. That and also because I like the home menu widgets with thumbnails/icons when pressing up in AZ1.

Any feedback on the larger home menu icons would be much appreciated, thanks!

I was the one asking for this earlier Wink But I am not asking to replicate AZ1, it looks already a bit outfashioned compared to AZ2 ...

But I still find the icons quite small on the home screen, IMO they should be slightly larger than the text on the left side, so that visually they appear of same size and same importance.

Also the menu bar in AZ2 is a tiny bit too dark for me, but now that may be niggling ...

Thanks for asking for this initially. Yea AZ2 definitely takes it to another level -- not asking to recreate AZ1 either but the home menu is the focal point of interaction so its tough to get past. I especially feel the AZ1 pains with the media views, locking them, etc. which I got from Aura lol. I prefer the light version of the AZ skins ; so clean  Cool .

The way I see it AZ2 is the next iteration, the next gen. So definitely have all the classic home menu views/options where possible PLUS more -- don't fix what ain't broke...it's what got us here.

+1 I asked this earlier too Smile He even reacted to it https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2851743

EDIT: BTW what is this background image pack?
Yea, the thumbnails not scalling/fitting in the icons have been bugging me too lol

Looking forward to this! Thanks for responding.

Assuming it's not the function the engine can't do; is it possible for "auto" to set all item widths to width of the widest item? Or perhaps just have a "Fixed-wide" and "Fixed-narrow" setting.

I'm still working out the differences between the OSD and Info overlays for key mapping; however with OK mapped to play/pause and long-press OK mapped to info, you can no longer access the OSD controls for subs and audio settings. That's why I thought adding the End Time to the OSD would be a solution.
Anyone having trouble getting their ratings to load? Just updated today and my movies fail to grab any ratings after waiting +1 minute. They only show IMDB on Spotlight but none show when browsing the Movies list.

Nope not possible. Only auto width for the actual button itself - its not possible to get the width value of another control.

If I could, the solution would be to get the width of each button when bolded and use that width for the unbolded version (with centred text). That's as simple as the solution needs to be, but even that's not possible with skinning engine limitations.

[Request] - show icon media/codec flags as in AZ1. I feel the iconless codec flags will work better in AZ2
Turn on language tags and disable codec flags and you will get them in bottom left.
@jurialmunkey thanks, it works. But still falls into issues where massive studio & language tags take up the whole row. Can this be a furniture option?

another request is LibreElec Config in settings instead on Event Logs.
@jurialmunkey Did u see this one?

Suggestion - with Fixed-width Text, when the clock & weather is hidden , Text should scale and use the whole horizontal bar.
The only thing the missing for me now is the kiosk mode which I know is on the todo list, everything else is working amazingly well already for my use cases. Amazing skin.
Added some of the above requests to my issues todo list on github

I lied... I'd also like the horizontal indicator arrows for lists!

It is possible to make these improvements also for Vertical menu Multiple widgets?

Is there a reason why movie and TV ratings from https://www.themoviedb.org/ are not shown?  Given Kodi 18 now uses TMDB as its default scraper for both movies and TV, I'd like to see ratings from there shown too please Smile

Not happy with the icon and star rating shows scraped value.

Still, added as an option in latest.
Pretty sure I'm being dense... but I can't find the option anywhere in the latest version. Am I overlooking something obvious?

What do you mean? Vertical menu already has fixed spacing between menu items...
