I'm sorry, didn't get this in english, you mean:

Renderer method: Pixel Shader
HW accel.: DXVA
Huh

DXVA is a renderer method used in Kodi. You can see it just above Pixel Shader you mentioned in player settings.

For best results with Nvidia, under renderer method select DXVA.

I just typed wrong 'of' instead of 'or'

"...For Nvidia use this fork with dxva or pixel shader..."

This is because pixel shader had the wrong color space code and I have fixed it.

DXVA was the first to have correct colors with HDR.

Hope I have not typed any character wrong anywhere during this reply.

During the weekend I'll start working on it.

Please disregard this, after some testing, this is being caused by a background application stealing focus from Kodi.  I've fixed it by closing as many background apps as possible, I'll try and narrow it down to just one later.

It's odd though, Kodi doesn't realise it's lost focus (it normally details this in the debug log) and even if I manually Alt-Tab Kodi back to foreground, the problem was still not clearing.  I also tried Launcher4Kodi which automatically forces focus to Kodi every 10s and although that was causing brief blackout every 10s as it tried to re-focus Kodi, that didn't fix it either!

Thank you for getting back here and posting this.
I believe some of problems related here might be caused by the end user setup or something unrelated to this build.

I can only work with problems that I can reproduce here.

fresh install of windows and still no go with java on version 2.5, install 2.2b and instantly working once %JAVA_HOME%\bin etc is deleted, can't even make a hybrid with the files from 2.2b in 2.5

Figured it out, it was the new PowerToys for Win10 causing the problem.

Deleting?
You should include %JAVA_HOME%\bin

What Java .exe file have you installed?

jre-8u221-windows-x64  is the java download am using for both laptop and desktop

adding the java enviroment variables to both machines java works on laptop not on desktop

removing the variables from desktop and installing version 2.2b and java works

Well, 2.5 is working then.

As I've said I had the same problem with Cmake. I even moved from a machine because no matter what I did Cmake would not detect Java.

What I would do, since you formated your PC, is check registry and find every Java or jre mentioned and delete it.
Download a 8 version prior to 221. Like 198.

Install it.
Delete the ones installed by Java.
Redo the tutorial.
Restart your PC.

And also if you find a definitive solution please let us know.

do you know what has changed between 2.2b and 2.3/5 to how it detects JAVA?, might be able to track it down or at least revert that change and try and compile a version myself

well from what i understand of it, all reg entries are there, and all paths are set, cmd prompt java commands work and returns correct info and i can't find another version of bdj.c so i can compare changes side by side

so something creative to come up with so i can use 2.2b and scan in tvshows
