Hello,

Glad to see you're back!

I tried the development build and it doesn't work. Actually it has the same problem as I had when moving from KODI 18 to 18.3; when you press play to launch the CV sequence you get a black screen and nothing happens. Only if I turn on debug logging will the sequence play. Others have posted the same issue over in the CV forum, and only after one of the users made some edits to the CV code did it work for us. Here is the link: https://cinemavision.tv/forums/topic/124...81/?page=2

With the dev version, turning on debug mode causes it to play the trivia section and then stop.

I can install the latest version from that post and it works fine.

KODI 18.4, Windows 10

Is there a way to have different trivia and music for sequences? For instance, I want to have a Star Wars marathon and I just want Star Wars music and Star Wars trivia to play before the movie. How is this possible because I don't see the option to change that when you edit sequences. Possible update maybe? any ideas? Love this add-on btw

You set the sequence to run based on certain tags. It takes a bit more work but it's well worth it.

To start, for any movies that you want to do this with you need to ensure they have the appropriate tags in them. The easiest way is to edit the movie information, elect the tag field and create one to use (in this case 'Star Wars'). Then you create a sequence that has the condition set to look for the tag you want and edit the sequence to pull the specific trivia, audio, clips etc for that sequence.

I have done pretty much exactly what you are looking for. I'll see if I can make a demo of running the script. But it has Star Wars trivia with background Star Wars Musak, Star Wars commercials, Star Wars bumpers (at least a few) and so on.

If you are unsure what I mean by all this just ask and I'll help you along.

Thanks,
I know about making sequences with tags. I have been doing that for quite some time. Unless I am missing something, I see no way of changing trivia slides when I make a sequence. I do see the option to change the music if you have star wars music or horror music for Halloween.

I was playing around a bit earlier today. I'm using Kodi 18.0 with CV 1.1.1a8. To change the slides you would have to remove all the non-Star Wars slides from your trivia directory. Doesn't seem to be a way to specify a specific folder for Trivia slides or a custom module that can be configured for specific trivia slide folders.

I thought I'd found Star Wars Musak before but I was mistaken. There is apparently some out there but I only found a link through a site that wants CC info to prove you are not a bot and I said no thanks. There is a 10 hour version of the Imperial March elevator music from the Family Guy Blue Harvest special on YouTube. I added the music from R3X's Playlist vol. 1 featured at Oga's cantina on Batuu.

There's some good quality and many not great TV commercials out there as well. My favs are Darth Vader impatiently waiting for Star Tours to re-open, Heidi Klum making Vader's heart palpitate and Star Lord vs Darth Vader. My 3D sequence uses a customized version of the Phantom Menace 3D trailer. If I had any skills with Blender I might make up some other video bumpers to theme.

I've done something similar for MCU films as well as changing up a sequence for Academy Awards Best Picture films.

I have used CV in the past and have saved bumpers etc on a network share drive. But I had to reinstall Kodi few months back and since then I have not been able to setup CV content path to the same location. I am using Kodi 18.4 with Aura skin. When I try to select old location in content path, it tells me "make sure the selected folder is writable and that the new folder name is valid".  This network location is shared in Kodi as a source, so it shows up fine. I can playback media from these folders manually but I hit a problem when selecting those locations in content path? Any one can help me fix this. I think it has something to do with writing permission which I do not know how to fix.

It's an issue with CV and/or Kodi that won't allow you to search for a network location. My fix is to open the CV sequence file in Notepad++ and find the modules I need to change and make the path corrections that way. More cumbersome but it works.

I can search the location but can not set it. And how would I make path corrections with Nvidia shield? I mean how I get to files that I need to change?

I don't use a shield so unfortunately I can't offer advice on that front. Unless your sequence files are on another network location you can access via a PC.

Maybe setup CV using a PC and ensure it's working and then transfer everything required to the shield? Just spitballing ideas though I'm sure there are other shiled users out there who can offer better assistance.

Hi there !!
First, many thanks for this addon, great addition to my setup !
I have one question though, is there any way that Cinemavision always launch, even if I don't use the context menu or the Informations menu ?
I mean just click on the movie and it launches cinemavision ?
I have installed the service addon, and enabled the option in cinemavision settings, but it doesn't work...

Many thanks

sooooooooooo good to see you back Ragnarok! Installed the latest build and installed 18.4 and it seems everything's working beautifully, even my Hue lighting. I know you comment a few years back you guys had plans to implement being able to have it play trivia for the movie being watched. I hope you still plan to do this, that's literally the only thing I can think of that's missing. Just thinking out loud here, not a programmer at all so this might not work. What about being able to select a directory for trivia like you can for the trivia music? That way a person could create a sequence file for certain movies and have it point to a directory with only trivia for that movie? Or just conditions, like if I play a horror movie I can point to a directory and get horror related trivia. I know this is probably way more complex to do than I'm making it out to be. But if CV had something like conditional based trivia support it would be perfect. Right now when I wanna do this before I start the movie I manually move the trivia I want into the trivia folder and go into CV and select the matching music. Not hard but if this could be automated, or at least sequence based I would die.

Is this add-on my best option if I just want my lights to turn off when a movie starts, and come on when I hit pause or stop? I'm looking for the simplest solution to accomplish that.

I use CinemaVision addon and I noticed since I updated now it does not recognize the first audio track in the movie file but the second one which it wasn't doing before. Example: I have Blade Runner 2049 with the Dolby Atmos track first then a DTSMA 5.1 as a second audio, it will only recognize the DTSMA track now. Same if it is only an Atmos track, it will only recognize the dolby digital second backup track which is weird. I looked at my NFO files and they seem okay I guess but I know its the problem because if I delete the NFO file and rescan it, it will recognize the main default track again no issues. Any suggestions?
