Oh my god, just discovered this skin and I'm absolutely in love with it ! Thank you so much !!

1 quick question / request (otherwise it fits my needs perfectly !):

When Being in the full screen matrix / gallery, when scrolling down you see the letter of the alfabet of the titles. When I change the sort order to year or date added, and then scroll down, it shows the number "2" anywhere in the screen. Can that be disabled ?

Yeah it looks like it was removed at some point, however the sort letter has been moved to the bottom left so it is much less intrusive.

Yep removed the option since it is now in the corner and not as intrusive.

Trying to minimise the number of tiny tweak type options because having heaps of those makes the settings really overwhelming and difficult to find the important ones.

Loving the skin but i'm having an issue with media dropping. Is it possible this is skin related?

Whenever I play something from my media (from NAS or attached USB storage) on my Nvidia Shield TV I will get a 'no suitable network' message and the media will stop. I can play play the media again a second or two later but it will kick out again after a while. I tried on the default skin and no drop outs so I'm wondering if it is a skin issue, although I'm struggling to see how it would be!?? Streaming media from YouTube addon seems to work flawlessly so it's only happening on my media (NFS from NAS or wired USB direct into Shield).

That's really strange. I initially thought maybe it was an issue with how the skin was playing items from the info dialog -- but I realised that you are saying the items play fine, but then stop after a short time which is really odd.

My first thought is the same as yours - I'm struggling to see why it would be a skin issue! However, if it works in Estuary and not here, then it does indicate something skin related -- might not be the skin directly doing something wrong but maybe some little quirk with an unusual method triggering some weird behaviour in Kodi.

I think a debug log showing the item stopping would be useful here.

Hi, I have the same issue with the twitch addon, skin display channel logo instead of video preview. The youtube fix didn't solve it.

Should be fixed in v0.2.49

Same issue with series thumb instead of episode thumb happens with joyn addon.

Also there is a problem with integrated season view there. Probably addon related cause there is an entry at the end of seasons that adds / removes series to
to the joyn watchlist. This jumps like crazy when loading season views. Season poster view works fine.

Ah yeah, I didn't think about that scenario where there's a command in the seasons list. Can you try latest (v0.2.56) and see if it solves that issue with the add/remove command being triggered?

I'll have a look later and see if I can fix the thumb issue.

That is odd, it happens on all my devices. I even did a fresh install on my PC and it does it there. I created a debug log, the initial key-press to enter the Power menu starts at line 664 https://pastebin.com/xCiCFLke hopefully there will be something in there to clarify what's happening. 

Not much in the log - I wouldn't really expect there to be though. It'd just be the wrong control getting focused after leaving the power menu, the question is why though. Only real thing I can think of is some type of mouse focus issue - but strange it is happening to you consistently on multiple systems.

I use the power menu all the time, so it's definitely something I would notice if it were happening to me. Very odd that it happens on none of my systems and all of yours. Really not sure what the cause would be -- I'll have to think about what it might be some more. 

Thanks, yes it's definitely strange, it happens on Windows, CoreELEC & LibreELEC all on seperate devices just using a standard remote for input, and even from a fresh install. I've made a quick video which whilst you can't see the key-presses, might show you how it's losing focus. You can see the transitions/animations fail and I can't go right without pressing the back button to regain focus https://streamable.com/n8xy4h

Are you able to also test with a keyboard to see whether or not it is just the remote? Do you have a special keymap applied? Only thing I can think of is that Back is mapped to something weird for DialogButtonMenu.

I'm baffled if it's only happening to me That video was literally a fresh start on the PC with only AH & TMDB Helper installed. No keymaps, no advanced settings, not even any other addons! Just a fresh install using the keyboard as navigation and backspace key to go back. Did you try with a fresh install on PC? I can only think that maybe you have something installed which is causing this to not happen, i.e. some skin shortcuts cache or something

EDIT - Out of curiousity I installed the very first release v0.1.0 and could also recreate from that version. I also found that if I use "S" to enter the Power menu it doesn't lose focus, if I could find a way to map it to an "S" key-press I suppose I could work-around the issue.

Hmm, interesting.

S is bound to ActivateWindow(ShutdownMenu) which is what my power button on my remote is bound to.

By default the remote power button is set to Shutdown(), which turns off the machine - so no point me testing with the default mapping as the machine will simply turn off.

I suspect your remote is doing something else when the power button is pressed. It's possible that the remote driver is setup to execute a sequence of button presses or passes some type of combo key code.

If you use Keymap Editor addon, you should be able to remap to ActivateWindow(ShutdownMenu) fairly easily.


Also, when you say "clean install", what do you mean? Did you delete the userdata folders and other Kodi folders in Application Data? Kodi can leave behind a lot of things after it is uninstalled.

I'm not using the Power button nor a remote, this is simply by pressing the Enter key on my Keyboard to select the Menu item which maps to ActivateWindow(ShutdownMenu). So there's no mapping or anything going on, I'm honestly baffled as to why calling this menu from "S" differs from using the "Enter" key on a Menu item Also, Arctic Zepher 2 doesn't show this behaviour, which is very strange given Arctic Horizon shares much of the same code.

Also, when you say "clean install", what do you mean? Did you delete the userdata folders and other Kodi folders in Application Data? Kodi can leave behind a lot of things after it is uninstalled.    

I deleted the whole lot, the entire Kodi folder in "C:\Users\Kodi\AppData\Roaming\Kodi" which Kodi recreated on first boot. From there I installed TMDB Helper & Arctic Horizon & nothing else.

To rule out the Back button I tried Left & Right arrows which also return to the menu & exhibit the same behaviour. So it appears it's not the Back button but rather something odd going on when the Power Menu is called from the menu, I think

I've always had some funkyness navigating between widgets and main menu in the skin both on windows and Android, I'll see if I can check it further too. Sometimes I need left move to go to the menu from the widgets some others back is needed.

No troubles with the power menu though.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've watched 2 episodes today and both played flawlessly on the default skin - i'll stick with it today and tomorrow and then see what happens on AH on Thursday. If it drops again i'll send over a debug log, thank you.

Just a note - everything I've played on AH has been played from the home widget. Not sure if that makes a difference?

I will add... I usually keep up with each update and I've recently (past week) noticed a problem using my remotes.  I regularly use a Rii and a mapped harmony.  There are times when the right direction key on both remotes won't take me out of the main menu.  I can move up and down the main menu but not out to the right.   Only wAy I can move to the widget is by using the touchpad on the Rii. Once I click on the widget with the touchpad cursor, then the left/right direction keys will work in and out of the menu.   Seems like it happens after each skin refresh.   I will pay closer attention and check further.
