Ah, you're right. I'm not sure why I made that decision originally for one to show watched and the other not to. I'll update it now to show only unwatched for both.

Also, you can easily make new widgets using smart playlist rules.
You can create them in Videos > Playlists > New Smart Playlist...

Not sure if logos would work but at some point I did a quick hack for characterart and it looked amazing. Only problem it's not as available as clearart.

Yeah I've tried clearlogos in the past and it wasn't that great, but characterart does look awesome. If it was more available and of a consistent quality then it would be my preference as the title is already shown elsewhere.

Vero 4K OSMC device: Opening info view for a movie in Arctic Horizon for the first time can take 10s to show the ratings and actors.
Is there any way I can improve this by tweaking the settings? (It's not an internet bandwidth issue)

A delay that long is going to be an API congestion issue or some other server issue. The actual processing of the data should be quick -- it's waiting for a response from the API that takes time.

If any of the APIs (Trakt, TMDb or OMDb) are slow, then it will take longer. I've noticed that Trakt and TMDb have been on occasion a little slow over the past week or so.

The only thing that might improve performance is disabling Fanart TV options in TMDbHelper settings, as Fanart TV can be fairly slow at times (or not work at all). However, it shouldn't be as bad a bottleneck as it was in the past because the artwork grabber now runs in a separate thread.

However, the big bottleneck at the moment is TMDb since I have to retrieve the details about the item from TMDb before I can get the ratings. So if TMDb is being slow, then everything is going to be slow.

@jurialmunkey Arctic Horizon is the most beautiful skin I've ever seen on Kodi. I had it set up and customized with @drinfernoo 's AutoWidget and want to backup my settings (took me a long time to set it up on a Fire Stick). But the backup service is not backing up anything.
Even Weirder, every time I'm trying to change something it gives a quick error message that can't be completed (although it's applied) and generates a log: https://paste.kodi.tv/riwawiquxu
Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a defect.

The back-up function is via Skin Helper Back-up. There's always been some issues with it -- I've been meaning to write my own for a while now but just haven't got around to it, so I've always just kept it in for those who it works for.

If you wanted to backup manually, the folders to save a copy of are:
/kodi/userdata/addon_data/skin.arctic.horizon/
/kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.skinshortcuts/
/kodi/userdata/addon_data/script.skinvariables/
/kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.themoviedb.helper/

That will give you enough to restore the skin setup.
In order, those are:
(1) skin setup data
(2) menu and widget setup data
(3) viewtype setup data
(4) tmdbhelper settings

Keep in mind that if you use profiles, there will also be addon_data folders inside the profiles directory for your profile.

A suggestion for pictures : it would be nice if IPTC data like name and description would display on panel and slideshow in order To comment some pictures for family viewing.

Yeah, the images section definitely needs a little work. I'll keep this in mind next time I look at it.

Yeh., I dont know why but when I go into playlists under either Videos or Music in AH i just get a blank screen. 



I can bring a context menu up, but thats it. blankness. Not an issue as I dont use playlists, although, i might if i could lol..

Hi. When I open a tv show in my local library and stay in season select view, I often get a loading sign for around 5-10 seconds before episode thumbs will show. However, if I open a tv show and click on all seasons or a specific season straight away, all episode thumbs are displayed instantly. Just wanted to check if this is a known issue or whether it’s potentially something specific to my setup. Thanks.

I used the backup plugin to transfer my Kodi setup from a Shield to a Mi Box, all went well but my pop up sub menus didn't transfer over in the skin.

Went into the settings and the "customize home menu" button wouldn't do anything, Any ideas?

Try using the backup/restore option from the Skin settings.

Greetings jurialmunkey! Excellent work on this skin as always, it’s clean, minimalistic and modern.
It would be great if Library file mode or any other file mode could allow the same views as the rest of the skin for uniformity. Currently it is unfortunately only limited to list-view.

*I remember that there was an option to always keep the main navigation left-menu visible in the very early dev-versions of this skin in all views. That option would indeed make the navigation much easier to use for guest-usage/elderly people/kids etc. with clear indication of where you are and what is available.

I’m coming from Arctic Zephyr 2 and loving this skin so far. Keep up the good work and best regards.

Add your OMDb and Fanart.tv keys in TheMovieDb Helper's settings.
