HFS+ is an Apple disk format.
You have an Android device.

What happens when you plug in that drive into the Android device?
If the drive is recognized in the Android File Manager, so should Kodi.

no my unit does not see the hard disk ..... I thought there might be an app to solve the problem. I don't want to format it also because it's a nearly full 8tb hard drive

Android won't read HFS+, there is no app for that.
